  1. Is there any reason to go to STL? Thinking about the Blackhawks/Bears weekend in November.
  2. I don't get it either. Not sure why Soriano is the bad guy here. I feel that way because he's pitched like 4 innings and already given up 2 dongs and several other rockets. I mean, he's not a good guy either, and nobody should have been all that excited about his availability in the first place. But Motte is the one with the disastrous inning last night.
  3. Out of curiosity, why? Or is it just an aging shortstop moving to another team? The talent the Cubs gave up for Nomar (Francis Beltran, Brendan Harris, Justin Jones, Alex Gonzalez) isn't really comparable to this trade. Justin Jones was probably the key to the deal in some respects, as it got the veterans that Boston wanted to shore things up, but really, if you wanted to say Justin Jones then is comparable to Jesus Tinoco now ... that would be fair. Jeff Hoffman is a better talent than any piece in that deal, even including when Brendan Harris got a bit over-hyped. Miguel Castro has more starting potential than Francis Beltran did at his best. Yeah, I don't really see the comparison outside of the superficial, franchise shortstop got traded side of it.
  4. I don't get it either. Not sure why Soriano is the bad guy here.
  5. I think you should be allowed to keep posting stupid stuff, and people should be allowed to point out the stupidity of said stupid posts.

  7. Yes, we heard you. It can't be said enough You do realize that contradictory rumored like this existed long before Twitter. Or maybe you don't.

  9. But he just got a fresh refill on his propane camping grill set-up outside the shelter.
  10. Inquiry: Do you have any living, breathing, starting pitchers with at least one working limb?

  14. I know where he is. I'm not telling, but it's good and you would all love it if you knew. in plain sight?
  15. Is this like some sort of Memento/Groundhog Day combo situation going on?
  16. That's what I thought. It looked kinda like it changed direction after the bounce. It's hard to tell though. I mean, the 2b still failed at basic coordination. he overslid the ball going in the same direction and then he failed to pick it up as he watched the runner to see if he was going home. There's a little slip as he had to change direction for the 3rd time on that play but it's hardly egregious stumbling around.
  17. how is this possible with professional level players the 1B situation is obviously a sidespin situation because of the contact off the end of the bat.
  18. He and Hub Arkush should start a club. The top google hit for Bernie (total blast from the past) was him blogging about how much he dislikes blogs and practically every first page is a story about how Bernie's Denver paper went under and he's looking for work.
  19. This is a ridiculous description. It wasn't great. But he wasn't walking anywhere. He misplayed it, and then the ball died on the vines instead of bouncing off like he expected.
  20. Bernie Lincicome is a senile old man whose opinion has not influenced anything since the 90's.
