  1. I’m assuming that’s the way the betting lines are looking. They are dogs in az, should be favored against NE and maybe SEA. Might not be favored in any divisional game depending on how the teams are playing and health at the time. But I would guess they have a chance of being favored in one of the home games. Of all the outcomes I think 7-10 may be most likely. Maybe 35/40%? Just guessing
  2. 7-10 may be most likely, but it’s not likely the best outcome. AZ, NE, SEA @home are all winnable games. 1-5 in the division is very doable and they should be able to win 2. 9 wins is probably the best outcome at this point. 10 wins if Williams catches fire.
  3. I’ve never considered Flus to be a coach that will help you win playoff games. He’s a placeholder for whoever is going to ultimately get the most out of Williams. People think of Andy Reid as a guy with a reputation of not being able to win in the playoffs before Mahomes fell into his lap, but in reality he was a part of multiple playoff victories as an assistant in GB and won 7 playoff games in first 6 years with Eagles. Eberflus has been a part of 2 playoff wins in his career as an assistant. He probably won’t get an opportunity to win one this year. If he finishes with more than 7 wins he probably keeps his job but I think you’re handcuffing the team going forward with him leading the staff. If he stays he needs an extension, and it won’t be one year. That extension will take you through the vast majority of Williams rookie contract and to the point where the bulk of the defensive players will have to be replaced. It’s not ideal for Williams to have so much early turnover, but it’s better than frittering away his youngest seasons before finding the right guy. But can Poles identify the right guy?
  4. That is definitely not a game you burn the tape. There are things to learn and improve. You can’t pretend it was some flukey game we just ignore and get past.
  5. There’s definitely a value. But at the same time it’s generally cheaper to attend cubs games than hawks games at the same time. It’s not unreasonable for it to be cheaper to watch cubs games on tv. I watch them primarily through espn+ and Max. I don’t currently get any local NY sports channels since ditching directv. I might end up getting the msg app somebody but not now.
  6. A win at altitude is impressive
  7. Again, not at all comparable. A suspension is a suspension. They aren’t sitting a guy for a half to make a statement. That is not the same thing.
  8. Getting suspended for missing practices is not at all comparable to a guy horsefeathers up a play. NFL teams don’t bench guys for a half. They’ll cut you, or replace you. But they aren’t making a college coach statement by making you sit in timeout for being bad but then putting you back in because you are the better player. Your examples are not precedent for the discussion here.
  9. But in general go ahead and hate every team. I’m agnostic this fall, but will enjoy whichever team loses
  10. Yankee hate is universal and crosses the sports universe. Much like cowboys and lakers. It’s the default team to hate
  11. Generally speaking people don’t really hate on the good teams for being good until they actually win at least one title. But really more like 2+. That’s universal. Most people don’t care about the bridesmaids
  12. That’s like a college thing an Alabama team does when they play a cream puff opponent to send a message without risking a loss. NFL teams berate the player in the video room and then generally don’t publicly shame guys as far as I know.
  13. I don’t really think that is a thing at the pro level.
  14. Bummer loss but I only watched first half when Caleb was awful and the defense kept them in it. It looks like he at least improved in second half. but this loss is on Kyle
  15. No need to apologize for dunking on Hub.
  16. Rams with some really bad clock management here late
  17. blackhawks activate levshunov and assign to Rockford. The ice hogs are 1-2 in early action.
  18. It’s wildly unimaginative to think it’s silly to consider trading a good player in an effort to make the team better. Prolonged mediocrity is not the consistency we should be striving for. not to mention, having surgery isn’t an automatic road to improvement. Hoerner battled a bunch of injuries as a young player and he’s no longer young. This is another notch in the negative category for him from a health perspective. He’s probably going to miss more time next season and start to decline soon. celebrating his surgery because you won’t have to hear people discuss the possibility of trading him in an effort to make the team better is myopic.
  19. I’ve never said a word about the Steelers receivers before this game. I hadn’t watched any of their games. I watched that game and Wilson was wildly inaccurate and guys made at least three wild catches for big gains on poorly thrown balls.
  20. When’s the last time an athlete underwent an unsuccessful surgery?
  21. In what way? He was missing dudes by 20 feet. And had a lot of help from circus catches
  22. Two ****** QBs and neither of them has ever played for the Bears.
