  2. Stevenson gets pick…, losing yardage on what would have been a. 4th down turnover on downs. Even good things suck
  3. 3rd and long is so easy against this defense. No pressure ever
  4. I’m not rooting for losses and draft pick location. I’m looking for the franchise qb to succeed
  5. There is no question that coaching matters in football. Personnel is more important but coaching matters.
  6. How are you still trying to figure this out when it’s been explained to you a dozen times?
  7. Two wins in 7 days, hawks are on a heater Chicago Blackhawks (@nhlblackhawks) • Instagram photos and videos WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM 1,149 likes, 12 comments - nhlblackhawks on December 15, 2024: "clutch. next question.".
  8. That can’t be the point of your post if we fundamentally disagree about the feasibility of actually using this many RF, 1B, DH types. I’m saying they can’t, and every mlb team knows they can’t. Hawkins’ words ring hollow to me.
  9. Blackhawks score first again, wonder how many islanders will score in the third to win
  10. He can say that all he wants but I can’t imagine anybody believes it. If Bellinger stays, guys are either playing out of position for one of your ~4 best hitters will be on the bench every day. It doesn’t have to be Bellinger, but somebody has to go and Bellinger is the best candidate.
  11. The trade, in and of itself, was not the problem. Ignoring pass rush aside from Sweat for three years is the problem. He treated Sweat like a final solution rather than another piece of the puzzle.
  12. They don’t realize that one piece away doesn’t exist in real life. ABA Always Be Adding
  13. I read that earlier, below is the relevant section: The Bears released Davis last month, a few days after what multiple sources said was a squabble with the coaching staff over his role for the Week 10 game against the New England Patriots. After practicing in full that entire week, Davis reported back tightness to the team medical staff on the morning of the game, was declared out and sent home on a day when offensive line depth was an issue. That was the final straw for Davis, who had been known around the building for more than a year as an “always something” guy and a poor teammate. It didn’t help that Poles signed Davis despite in-house warnings from the coaching staff that he had a reputation for being apathetic and lacking the kind of football passion Poles normally gravitates toward. That miss exemplifies Poles’ struggles to fortify the offensive line. Beyond Wright, it’s hard to pencil in any of the other four current starters as obvious answers for 2025. After Sunday’s loss, the Bears rank in the bottom 10 of the league in rushing and have allowed the most sacks in the NFL.
  14. And apparently the team is staying at the Westin Jersey City / Newport
  15. Yeah, I get the reasoning behind acquiring him and theoretically filling a black hole. But I never saw him as a solution
  16. The only realistic way for this to be done is replace the front office.
  17. How was it determined to add 4 pages to the beginning of this thread?
  18. WTF HOYER HOW DO YOU GIVE UP TWO THIRD BASEMEN FOR A RENTAL??!!??!?!!?
  19. It’s not like this defense never shat the bed with Flus at the helm. But it is probably true he was a better DC and play caller than whatshisname. Also, guys clearly did not try. But the talent quality is razor thin on this defense. They have one lineman. The rest are nobodies. They have highly paid linebackers and multiple DBs, but neither group has materially impactful guys.
  20. Nazar called up, will play in NJ against Devils Saturday. another one of those inevitable moves Alec Martinez went on IR.
  21. Virginia ready to throw her Super Bowl ring in Lake Michigan
  22. I feel like you are mixing and matching different people’s complaints and calling them one. People who whine about guys being too expensive are not the same people whining about Hoyer being a spendthrift coward. I don’t hesitate pointing out Hoyer has done a horrible job so far. The team is way too mediocre, especially for what they’ve spent. I’d be very happy if he acquired an impact player and not particularly worried about whatever second tier guys he gives up to make it happen. I also believe it is smart to acquire so called rentals as it’s much easier to sign your own guys than somebody else’s. And I’m not going to lament any so called overpay the bootlickers worry about. Overpay for impact players all day everyday.
  23. 5 unanswered goals against in the third is not good. 3 more of your own is nice. Bedard with 1 goal and 2 assists is promising. Bertuzzi and Hall being helpful…, helps. one step closer to another number one pick this summer
