  1. Who cares. Ryan Poles can’t draft to save his life. The guy he takes will be available at 15 anyway.
  2. The bears secondary of awful
  3. What the ruck is this decision making? Go for 2 you ninny
  4. Non contact injury and a middle finger to the final game of season for our “pro bowler”
  5. Canada at the world juniors https://youtu.be/yr3KmyvkYBU?si=-YT51MOndkEER07e
  6. Okay, so? They don’t refuse to do it. They did it a couple hires ago and it didn’t work There’s only a handful of guys who should get second and third chances. Are we lamenting the decision not to go after Gruden? They haven’t made their decision this time and there are multiple guys with previous HC experience on the list. The lack of nfl HC experience is not a thing people should worry about.
  7. If Poles wanted to replace Eberflus last year and was denied, then the optics of firing him look bad. If he was in on keeping him, he’s has more than enough time to fix what he purposely broke. Everything Poles said about retaining Eberflus suggests he was on board. If he was not, he had no reason to vociferously support him.
  8. Not sure a Walter football guy is somebody I’d pay attention to
  9. That was a weird storyline for about a week this year then Washington finished strong and it went away. It’s not a thing. You’re either good or you are not. Guys don’t just start strong and finish poorly as some sort of trait.
  10. All the leaks last week told me the Warren Poles relationship was toast. Who knows what comes of it, but I do not think those guys want to work together next year.
  11. This question was recently posed to Gemini, Google’s AI and here is its objective response.
  12. The initial notice was a physical appearance black.
  13. The greatest trick the Mervis ever pulled was convincing the world he ever existed
  14. Wtf is this nonsense?
  15. I’d argue he was a pretty good goaltender for about 3/4 of a season they are kind of stuck with goaltender glut if they ever get the new guy back. The best option was probably to trade mrazek and keep soderblom
  16. If Mrazek had any trade value it is gone
  17. oh, I thought we were talking about a guy with a real job and influence. Yeah, whatever, any of the meatheads could fill that role. What is it, advisor to owner?
  18. There aren’t many thoughtful ex-bears out there. You’ve got the usual allotment of meat head defense first goons. And a couple offensive linemen that want to run the ball first second and always. The problem with zero history of offensive success shows when there isn’t a realistic person to fill this role.
  19. They made their money off of cheap stock market trades. Discount retailer investing. They know cheapness and cutting costs.
  20. I’m pretty sure he’s as embarrassed as possible for a billionaire. I take him at his word when he admits to the embarrassment. He’s done it before. He does it often. The problem is not a lack of want. It’s lack of ability.
  21. Sure it’s fixable. But Poles isn’t the guy, Warren provides little reason for hope and nobody else knows what’s going on. There are very good reasons for a HC candidate to not choose the bears as their first job. Careers die in Chicago. Nagy got his old job back from the guy that actually runs his offense, but everyone else has faded away.
  22. It’s not just that they are broken right now. They’ve been broken for a long time. The brief era of respectability when Lovie was here has been surrounded by ineptitude. There’s nobody in this organization who has succeeded at the NFL. The giants are a mess but they managed to be respectable and win titles recently. You can look back and see eras where a lot of these bad teams were very good, winning titles and/or putting up points. The bears don’t just have a bad reputation from disgruntled fans. They are a broken franchise that has been broken for way too long.
