    I think Nagy has a chance to learn from his mistakes. His two big problems were he came to a team with a QB he knew was dumb and he overreacted to the double doink with the absolutely ridiculous kicker competition that took time and focus away from actually improving the team. I think he could have learned some things. Whether he did or not is questionable. in general I like the concept of coordinators in their second HC opportunity. McCarthy is fine. He’d be the best offensive coach in bears history and probably capable of making this team respectable and at times dangerous. He’s most likely not getting them over any big humps though. He’d be a better John Fox.

    They had chances to add to the team and chose not to. They took multiple off seasons off and are paying the price. Losing on purpose is disgraceful and having it blow up in your face is good. Most teams fail miserably at the tank and fans who apllaud them deserve to have their teams remain in the gutter.

    My guess is this is more about speaking to a guy that might be hired in a lesser role after the HC position is filled. They tend to do that, interview for bigger job but offer smaller one. There’s no way this guy is a real HC candidate

    Jenkins? I don’t think many people expected much better than they got. If they did, that’s on them. He’s fine when he plays but can’t play. Sweat has been disappointing but it should not be a surprise that a line with one guy isn’t going to succeed

    The bears are in the position they are in today entirely because of decisions made by Ryan Poles. This team was not predestined to be this bad because of moves made by the previous regime. This team was fixable and Poles failed to fix it. He purposely made it worst and has failed miserably trying to improve it.

    Eh, there’s a case to be made for head coach candidate viewing a lame duck gm as beneficial. That gm will not have that much power, while a recently extended guy is going to be in charge until the head coach starts winning big

    Jenkins is definitely one of those guys another team sells to the fan base as a player they admired from afar that needed to be put in a better situation who will benefit from coming to our system…. The bears will probably sign two of the same guy from outside

    Some awful horsefeathers happened over the holiday break. But now good things will begin happening as highly compensated gym teachers (aka Trump voters) will be fired from NFL jobs and forced to reconsider their condo purchase in Naples.
