  1. What a lame talk show host name
  2. All you bandwagoners just waking up to Poles’ failing now is weak. I was on this guy after his first offseason. He blew it. you can’t tear down a roster and refuse to add when you have cap space then suddenly assume you can fix it. mow you are kind of stuck with him.
  3. Okay but that’s not a real thing so there is no point
  4. Single doink
  5. The bottom line is there is no such thing as a qb that does it on his own. He’s a very capable qb playing for an incredible flawed team. He’ll probably flame out because this organization couldnt find an offensive philosophy in a maga convention, but they could luck out and team him up with something decent. He’s fine. He’s not impeccable. He’s not a lost cause. He’s fine, but they’ll need a hell of a lot more to make anything great out of it.
  6. What the horsefeathers stupidity is this horsefeathers?
  7. No, it’s not dumb. In a world where franchises change hands for several billions dollars, the assets that make those franchises valuable getting $50m a year is nowhere near dumb. The limitations normal people place on themselves…
  8. Zero pressure. Tons of time. Lots of linebackers in coverage. This defense is trash. The top 5 talk never made sense. Extrapolating a full season out of small samples in a 4th place schedule was always foolish.
  9. What is the NFL record for discrepancy between offensive plays run by either team?
  10. If they look like this the rest of the way, Poles has to be on the hot seat. The tear down was his doing. The 2024 bears from head to toe are his creation. These are all his players. If they lay another stinker, after a half dozen of them last year and multiple so far this year. You just can’t say he’s done a good job.
  11. Yes indeed, he did. No interest in competing
  12. Looking forward to jack sanborn being gone
  13. Vlasic is for real though and Reichel made an impact
  14. Went to the game today. Bedard was a non factor. His team doesn’t help at all but he did nothing
  15. Yeah, my…, childhood, too
  16. I’ve yet to read a real reason why it doesn’t make sense to trade a non-special DH. He’s not a great hitter. He sucks in the field and is getting older. The team doesn’t want to spend past the tax limits, so it will have to look to cut costs when possible. At least one of those good but not great players who make money is going to be gone. It should be one who will get you something of value in return. There is not a single black/white hitter in this organization where it makes no sense to trade them. i don’t have a specific preference. id rather move off a guy whose value comes from glove than bat, because gloves don’t last and I believe a lot of that defensive value is a mirage. Bats are real. But I wouldn’t weep for any of these guys if/when they are dealt.
  17. No, it’s more than two years. It sets a precedence that continues on if/when they build The details of the deal revealed Thursday would set the annual tax on the Arlington Heights site at about $3.6 million, down from roughly $8.9 million levied for the 2023 tax year, officials said. If the team seeks construction permits by the end of 2027, payments would remain the same. If not, payments would increase at the inflation rate of the consumer price index, by 2% to 5%, for 2028 through 2030.
  18. The rangers offloaded their captains bloated salary to the ducks. Supposedly trying to get Brady Tkachuk
  19. The list of potential next head coaches is so incredibly uninspiring. A bunch of guys who have failed in other spots or have never been NHL head coaches. The timing of this really sucks, since Richardson didn’t have a chance for two years and now barely got two months with a rag tag group of middle to lower 6 forwards and nobody capable of being a top liner aside from Bedard. This team gives up so many empty betters partially because they have so little offensive firepower, there’s nothing for opposing teams to be afraid of when protecting a 1 or 2 goal lead. Had they pulled the trigger earlier they could have gotten Jim Montgomery. But they felt the need to wait for a 6 game losing streak. This seems to me to be a situation where untested Sorensen gets this year and next and then they have to find a new guy for 26/27 season.
  20. It was inevitable. interesting that they promoted AHL coach Sorensen to be the interim. His job was to develop all those kids in Rockford. Does this indicate there will be callups?
  21. SI is a rando it’s a garbage website now with no affiliation with historical journalistic integrity
  22. Not even the least bit similar imo. LaRussa was checked out for a decade before that hire. It would not be a long term hire, but it should be a stabilizing one for 3-5 years. I’ve long maintained the Bears are desperate to replicate the Steelers stability at the HC position and this is why I’d doubt they take the old man (more so than the roster control issues), but they could surprise. The one thing theyve always done is shift the category of new hire. Recently that’s been defensive guy/offensive guy rotation, but they’ve also gone from first time NFL head coach with other head coach history, to lots of head coaching experience to young coordinator with limited NFL experience. Belichik would be a shift closer to the John Fox type, after back to back failed coordinators.
  23. I would take Belichik
  24. At 49ers or home vs Seattle later in season? My guess is if they are competent next couple weeks they might be a slight home favorite over Seattle.
