    The bears are in the position they are in today entirely because of decisions made by Ryan Poles. This team was not predestined to be this bad because of moves made by the previous regime. This team was fixable and Poles failed to fix it. He purposely made it worst and has failed miserably trying to improve it.

    Okay, so? They don’t refuse to do it. They did it a couple hires ago and it didn’t work There’s only a handful of guys who should get second and third chances. Are we lamenting the decision not to go after Gruden? They haven’t made their decision this time and there are multiple guys with previous HC experience on the list. The lack of nfl HC experience is not a thing people should worry about.

    If Poles wanted to replace Eberflus last year and was denied, then the optics of firing him look bad. If he was in on keeping him, he’s has more than enough time to fix what he purposely broke. Everything Poles said about retaining Eberflus suggests he was on board. If he was not, he had no reason to vociferously support him.

    That was a weird storyline for about a week this year then Washington finished strong and it went away. It’s not a thing. You’re either good or you are not. Guys don’t just start strong and finish poorly as some sort of trait.
