  1. Interesting. In other words, the clubhouse is not fine. Just because he feels it's unwarrented complaining doesn't mean there isn't complaining.
  2. Donaldson has excellent instincts and plays the game the right way. yippee. Maybe he'll win the look again player of the year award some day.
  3. looks like signability played a huge part in Cubs draft. Samardzija and Colvin better be good.

  5. Doesn't even have a little write-up on the mlb.com draft tracker.
  6. I belive they stop at 6 pm ET. I know. They've done some interviews and showed highlights, but haven't listed a supplemental pick yet.
  7. what is the point of them covering this draft if they are not going to be showing any of the picks?
  8. I don't believe you should completely ignore a category. Not all high school hitters are created equal. I'm fine with taking them, I just think if you take one early in the first the guy's got to be a superstud, with realistic star upside. Not Tim Wallach ability.
  9. they're only doing the first round, i thought I thought 1st + supplemental.
  10. So are they taking a break? There's no clock ticking under Washington.
  11. It would be a nice pick. Three guys at 48 that could be interesting: Doolittle, Burgess, and Brackman. Brackman to the Mets at 46 Doolittle to the A's at 41 Burgess to the BRaves are Phillies in the 30s. Maybe the Cards So who are the Cubs taking?
  12. How many 1 if by land 2 if by sea headlines in Minnesota tomorrow?
  13. I would think this is true. But on the other hand, you could take a good prospect and ruin him with improper development.
  14. And? That's the point. The Cubs don't develop hitters.
  15. Why do you keep putting up that same thing?
  16. I wouldn't mind ending up with Tejada. I'm guessing they'd want something more as far as offense is concerned. Maybe throw in a Fox or Craigh, and try to keep one of the arms.
  17. So, who are the likely candidates for the Cubs' next pick?
  18. That's a huge red flag for me. The guy isn't going to learn plate discipline with the Cubs, and he isn't going to handle those pitches against pros. If we have another 4:1 K:BB guy on our hands, he won't help at all.
  19. He'll be lucky to make the majors in 4-5 years. There's no conflict with his position at 3B.
  20. They need to cut the time between picks to 3 minutes.
  21. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/events/draft_report/y2007/tracker.jsp?mc=vitters Probably be a slightly better hitter than Wallach, but worse defensively. So hopes of Wright or Chipper are not warrented? Wallach huh. So he won't be somebody worth hanging onto once he's making free agency money.
  22. Boooo to the lack of Vitters talk. I want to learn more about him.
