And there lies the problem with this organization. They won't cut ties when it's apparent that the player they signed is no longer capable of doing the job. Except for when they're paying Marquis, Gaudin, and Vizcaino like 80 million dollars to not pitch for us. They signed Gaudin to a new deal this year and cut him. The fact that he has a 2nd year is more or less meaningless to the debate about whether or not they should cut him. He would hardly be the first guy cut with a year left on his deal. They won't do it because Hendry is a fool who sees value in a guy like Aaron Miles because he plays the game the right way, which is to say, really poorly. It's not because you can't justify cutting a guy who has a 2nd year on his contract.
