  1. Line is 1.5 in most places, and I saw 3.5 somewhere. Lovie's coaching decisions are not simulated.
  2. STL is unrealistic. But money would be involved so I am sure Milwaukee and the White Sox would welcome some extra income to take on some Cubs home games for a season.
  3. Soldier Field would never work. Ryan Field seems to me to have enough space around the field to fit a temporary baseball stadium, but I think it's a horrible place to try and get people to attend 81 times a year. Is there any sizable baseball stadium closer than the Kane County Cougars? That's way too far in the boonies and even if you went there I'm guessing they would have to find a reasonable way to add 20,000 temporary seats to make some money. I think the only realistic option is play at US Cellular and/or Miller for a season. You could split the two to offset conflicting schedules plus satisfy far northern fans/city based fans.
  4. ??? sarcasm? Read post above his.
  5. I enjoyed seeing Halek put one in his own net, I did not enjoy seeing that it was against Detroit. Wyatt, those Wings are rolling. 12-3-1? Poop. At least the Blues have lost 5 straight and the Hawks have the 5th most points in the west (shutup I know they need about a half dozen more games than anybody to get there).

  8. Coming into the season, sure, but they were 4-1 when they lost to Seattle and obviously 4-2 after that game. There was plenty of winnable games remaining on the schedule, including Miami. The Giants loss didn't mean much at the time because they were playing with house money. But they've used up their mulligans already and now can't really afford to lose to .500 teams with four big time contenders remaining and only 2 bums.
  9. I don't think he was planning on exchanging them, just adding to the collection.
  10. Seriously. Two years ago in New York, my wife and buddy's girl decided this was the Broadway show they wanted to see. Ugh. 10 years ago my girlfriend decided that was the show to take her little cousins to.
  11. If she bought tickets after the schedule came out, which was back in like April, this is your fault. Just DVR the thing and play on fast forward. Anytime you notice a big play watch in regular. You can get through it in a hurry. Turn off your phone during the show. Or better yet, don't go. It's really lame and meant for 13 year olds that have never seen live entertainment on stage.

  13. I'm hoping for 2 out of the next 3. So, I'd take a loss tonight if it means they beat the Eagles next week (and win @ Detroit). The Eagles game is a bigger game because its vs. an NFC contender anyway. I just feel like they are only going to beat the Eagles if their recent improvement is real and they don't keep suffering setbacks. And a loss to a depleted Dolphins team would be a setback. Obviously I would much prefer a win over Philly to a win over Miami if I can only get one. But if they are going to get to 10 wins, I don't see it happening if they lose to the Dolphins.
  14. Well this is a winnable game much like the Seattle/Washington games were, but on the road. They are 3-1 on the road so far this year and 1-1 in primetime. You can't really say this game is make or break, but it is fairly crucial in the race to determine who will make the playoffs. I really don't see the Bears finishing with 10 wins if they can't beat Miami. I'm also watching this one with 2 Dolphins fans, so a loss is really going to be disappointing.
  15. Hendry keeps saying he's happy with how the young guys developed late in the season, so next year if they struggle the blame will be placed on young guys who failed to do what was expected of them. Also, San Fran won with pitching so you know what has to be done this offseason.
  16. Why would you take that contract after getting benched two weeks ago? The Vikings will be looking for a new quarterback as will the Bills/Panthers/49ers/Bengals (possibly)/Dolphins/Cardinals. He got a ~$3.5m bonus for signing it.
  17. Wouldn't it be more like the middle of the end?
  18. Because the stadium has changed since that time and it would not fit.
  19. How often has a manger of a team that choked away an easy division lead won manager of the year? Was voting done before the season ended?
  20. If you don't count Nady and Colvin, or just about anybody who is capable of putting a glove on their hand and is taller than 5'8".
  21. There isn't a successful baseball stadium outside of Texas and California that's out in the burbs. You need public transport for an everyday sport like baseball. The Cubs will not move there.
  22. Page 2: What are your first three picks in a Thanksgiving food draft? Sanchez: "Rex!" Page 2: "No, not your eaters. Your food!"
  23. Bears strong-side linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, who missed 14 games last season with knee injuries, has been ruled out of Thursday's game at Miami with a knee issue. Tinoisamoa, who has been healthy this season and consistently lauded for his performance by coach Lovie Smith, was limited in practice on Tuesday. The Bears announced today that he will not play against the Dolphins, meaning veteran Nick Roach could be in line for his first start of the season. Tinoisamoa, who is ranked sixth on the team with 41 tackles, missed the majority of the offseason program while he recovered from knee surgery. But he quickly asserted himself in training camp, as he did last summer, and claimed the starting job. The extent of his injury is not known at this point. The Bears couldn't keep their linebackers healthy last season. The team has been fortunate with injuries thus far this season. Veteran linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer is the only player on injured reserve with any experience. Running back Harvey Unga and defensive lineman Averell Spicer are also on IR.
