The fact that none of the players seem to be supporting Zambrano tells me that there's been a lot more going on behind the scenes. Z has been one of my favorite players, but he really needs to get some help. He still has the talent, he just needs to put it back together.

There were a few seasons before the Cup season when all they had to market this team was his face. I couldn't get her to watch hockey until last season.

That was crazy homerism. I'm guessing 7 games reduced to 4-5. Yadi was completely out of line. Especially since it was actually a good call on that pitch. My bad. Watching the highlights, they didn't have the k-zone and it looked borderline. Looking at that (and the gameday) it was a bad call. I went back to see if that location had been called before that pitch and there were several in the same area that were all called a ball. Yadi had the right to be upset. Crap.

I dunno maybe its just me, but I hope that Williams dominates in camp and in the preseason and then continues it into the season. Why would you want him to succeed?! I hope for the players on the teams I follow to fail, that way I can say "I told you so."

Yes. It was late, high and not even a close play. Everytime they showed a replay, everyone cheered. Well then, it's a shame no one hit Holliday. I hope someone does tomorrow. Is Carpenter up? If not, trade Grabow (do that anyways) call Carpenter up an have him drill Holliday.

I apologize for spending 3 years after HS busting my ass to save up money to go to college, then working 40-60 hours/ week at 3 different jobs while in college AND working an unpaid internship that eventually lead to me getting hired on full-time. Wait, nevermind. I don't apologize.

Late as hell. He was already on top of the bag Also wasn't within reach of the bag. And he went in with spikes high. I can't believe nobody hbp'd him later in the game. Quade probably thought it was good for Castro to get some intensity and see how a team plays the game the way it's supposed to be played. The "best fans in baseball" sitting next to me were cheering that like crazy. Then they said that's what Castro gets for forcing Theriot (the better player) to move to 2nd. An every time Descalso(sp?) made a play at SS they cheered and bragged about how much better Theriot is than Castro. A Cubs fan sitting nearby had to inform the "best fans in baseball" that Theriot had been moved to 2nd because he sucks at SS and that they were cheering the wrong player.

Listening to St. Louis radio, they've done a complete 180 on their Theriot love. They don't even care how "good his bat is" he just CANNOT play SS.

Are you saying you'd rather have "reasonable" contracts no no WS wins? Yes. That is exactly what I said. Sorry, I phrased that incorrectly. You're saying that even if the Cubs won 5 world series' within a decade, you'd be still be bitching about 1 bad contract on the team.
