    Matheny is actually a very solid choice for the Cardinals. He was always a smart player and knows how to handle pitchers. Hopefully I'm wrong.

    I was always told when I was younger that pitchers don't make good managers because the players "don't respect" someone who only played 1 in 5 days. Are there any pitchers turned managers that I can look at?
