  1. Likewise, I can't believe there are people who refuse to believe that anything can happen over a 162 game season. If all the games were played on paper, sure, the Phillies would run away with it, but they were also supposed to steamroll into the World Series last season. Injuries can and do happen. How will Howard's injury impact him this year? Will Utley's hips act up again? What if Halliday or Lee miss significant time? Do I think the Nationals will win the division? No, but Im not going to say that it can't happen.
  2. I had read he was stepping down, not taking a leave of absence.
  3. So who replaces Angelo? Can Theo pull double duty?
  4. Since I don't keep up much with other teams minor league players (and most of ours), is the package we could potentially get for Garza better than the one we gave up?
  5. What is the Derrick Rose rule?
  6. Me too. In somewhat related news, I just won a twitter argument with Keith Law on the minutia of transaction rules and regulations regarding a potential Danks sign and trade. I saw "rhickey" and immediately thought Randy Hickey.
  7. Thankfully, Hendry isn't our GM anymore.
  8. Andy Lee is a punting machine.
  9. I don't play fantasy football, so I'm not sure of how many points you get for yards/catches/td's, but he seems like he's having a decent game.
  10. Yea, would be cool to find out. Just like I wouldn't mind knowing what the offer to Pujols was. I can't remember who said it (and in which thread), but I really like how Theo and Co are very tight lipped about what they are planning to do, yet at the same time, it drives me nuts because I feel like I HAVE to know!
  11. It WOULD be kind of nice to know what the Cubs bid was. I feel like it would make me feel better if they gave it a good effort, but were edged out. However, I might be a little upset if it was a low offer.
  12. I thought the winning bid blew all the others out of the water?
  13. And twitter is going nuts about it. Okay, now I really wish Toronto doesn't get him. What kind of worthless idiots fall for fake Twitter accounts? Zing.
  14. And twitter is going nuts about it.
  15. Fake Bud Selig twitter account just said Toronto won with a bid of $52mil.
  16. you're 95% sure of something that has no evidence whatsoever behind it? the point is that you're assuming this guy is being a [expletive] just because a lot of guys on twitter act like dickheads i cant wait to make this guy eat crow!!!!! (if there's something he should eat crow about!!!!) That's not terribly unusual. -bleachernation dude posts something and it's worth noting -twitter dude with website and 1500 followers posts something, and it's "95%" bs. I have a website and a lot of followers. Doesn't mean I know anything. Plus, he's been going on for days about how the Blue Jays have basically won already. Nobody knows what the Cubs bid was.
  17. Why is GrayMatter always the first tweet when you search Yu Darvish? I hope he signs somewhere other than Toronto just so he has to eat crow.
  18. Thats the one. Just saw Buster Olney and freaked.
  19. still BAN For that one, I deserve it. The other one was great.
  20. It was a fake twitter account... sorry guys. went back to get the link and realized it was fake.
  21. wait... maybe not. I jumped the gun there... still looking
  22. Buster Olney reporting Cubs won
  23. Any word on if Darvish plans to sport that awesome mustache?
  24. Toronto apparently won: http://bit.ly/defcon bummer. Mod edit: RickRoll? Seriously?
