  2. So with Theo on his way over, who else does he bring in? Hahn? The Trib suggested Glanville in some capacity, which would be a bit intriguing...
  3. was it Harris or Briggs that [expletive] up the Best 88 yrdr? The announcers were acting like it was Briggs, but Harris was no where to be seen. I think he ran into the right side, and got swallowed up Briggs was dropping into coverage, I thought. I didn't see Harris on ANY replays and (I think) Gruden kept saying, "Where was Harris on that play?" Also, do we have the slowest defense in the world?
  4. They do not have to be set. They can't cause the line to move with their movements though. There was one blown call by the refs when he was dancing. But other than that they just looked like an undisciplined line that knew they were in for a fun day of QB killing. The push of Cutler was relatively harmless, although it could have been called just based on the fact that there was no need and the whistle was clearly blown well before it. If the linemen weren't just pansies they may have tried to fight the man. Oh, and screw you Lovie for another horrible round of timeout/challenge roulette and downplaying just how much of a freaking superstar Cutler had to be to keep the team in that game You were terrible Lovie. As dumb as you've ever been on gameday. Thanks for the clarification on that! Also, with the timeout/challenge bs in the 1st quarter... If you are trying to lure the D-line in (on the first play) and they know you're trying to lure them in (as shown by the fact that it was one of the only plays they weren't moving AT ALL), and you have Barber in the backfield, why not just run the play instead of wasting 2 time outs? Also, if you ARE going for it on 4th and short, why not run Barber back out there instead of Forte? It's not like they were fooling anyone either time.
  5. I haven't read the whole thread, but what was the deal with the Lions D-line constantly moving before the snap? I thought they too had to be fairly set and not constantly jumping over the line and back to try to disrupt the O-line? Maybe I just made that up. Also, what was with Vanden-Bosch and his "Neutral Zone Infraction" when he just ran up and shoved Cutler down well after the whistles were blown? Shouldn't that have been more of an encroachment or roughing the passer? Or just plain old ass-hattery?
  6. BREAKING NEWS! Theo spotted at the Weiner's Circle! http://twitter.com/#!/FTheGoat/status/123504947722600448/photo/1
  7. Didn't see this posted anywhere: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-free-agent-wr-tweets-hes-headed-to-bears-20111009,0,4087922.story
  8. Dammit, I wish I made up an unconfirmable story about Theo and shared it with Paul Sullivan Beat me to it. I'll have to earn my 15 munutes some other way. On an unrelated not, I'm 63.7% sure that I saw Prince Fielder at a local Chipotle, but it might have just been a fat black guy. WHAT SONG WAS HE SINGING?!?!?!
  9. Did anyone else think the site being down was related to this?
  10. Oh here we go... http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-spt-1009-gm-cubs-chicago--20111009,0,1309358.story "Epstein" "spotted" at a Starbucks near Wrigley. I'll bet he was signing "Go Cubs Go" as well.
  11. Mine too, but mostly because I've been on here waiting for something to go down...
  12. Harry Wolverton and Buttons Briggs
  13. It's too bad we let Hendry go... I'd trade Hendry and Bush straight up for Epstein.
  14. Yeah, let's spit on a guy who wrote a biography. Real classy. That's when you know you're either really young or getting old. In between, you just want to kick some ass. As a little kid or an old fart, you just want to spit on people.
  15. TULSA'S OWN as far as catchers go, my pet theory is that rick wilkins was on the forefront of steroids technology I've always thought the same thing. Also, there is no goddamned pepe silvia.
  16. I thought Tyler Houston was going to be the next Ken Caminiti at 3rd.
  17. Rick Wrona (I think that's how you spell it)
  18. This is the error I get as well. Have you optimized the tables recently? Sometimes that helps. I think with phpbb (at least in older versions), some tables would build up so much overhead that it would cause everything else to crash.
  19. I just watched the clip of Ben Smith getting hit... not sure how the Red Wings can even remotely claim it was anything but a dirty hit. http://blogs.suntimes.com/blackhawks/2011/09/brendan_smiths_head_hit_on_ben.html
  20. I just have the feeling we're going to get destroyed. GB is going to take advantage of the o-line. I am also an extreme pessimist, and hope that I'm way wrong.
  21. It kind of ticked me off that the brewers walked Castro twice yesterday... not too much, just a little. I didn't see the pitches in the non-intentional walk, but it was nice that he was patient up there while being 1 hit shy of 200.
  22. Now to move them to the AL...
