If only Lou would start driving in more runs, maybe hitting for better average. Maybe he could've caught that ball at 2nd that Miles muffed. Or he could have come in an thrown lefty instead of Cotts. Stupid Lou. His ejection in 2007 completely changed that season. I think we had the best record in the majors after that ejection. Why not try it again? He should have done it yesterday on that bang-bang play with Freel at 3rd base. So your contention is that the Cubs would start hitting the ball better, and pitching the ball better, and catching the ball better, and getting breaks and beating their opponent if only Lou would give his hat a few swift kicks?

Last I heard he was looking at that new League that's starting up. His agent denies that, but from what I've heard he's being shopped for league minimum.

actually, they aren't. At least not this year. Pretty small sample size though, when there's much more than this year available for comparison.

That's a much more glowing review than every other account I've heard of that practice. Apparently, there were lots of drops. Receivers are having trouble adjusting to the heat on Cutler's throws. Not that it matters much, it's the first day of OTAs. Still a ways to go. I read that too, which seems completely contradictory to the Daily Herald article saying only one ball hit the ground.

Yeah, but it's not really a change. Instead of being 100% against he's now like only 95% against. I think he thought he'd get more in the WR by now (maybe he really was after Boldin and thought that'd happen). And now that none of the WR option he thought he'd get has really panned out, he's leaving the door open a crack. But it's stilly, cuz if Plax plays this year at all, it won't be much.
