  1. Man, Don Banks of SI really seems to have it in for the Bears. They can do no right in his world.... Yes, I'm sure the Bears drafted him solely because of a youtube video, and did no other scouting or research.
  2. The article on the Trib website says Gilbert got the idea from a rumor that Adam Archuleta had done it before.
  3. Height: 5'11½" Weight: 185 lbs
  4. Why does the NFL network have the Dallas War Room on there right now? Dallas is nowhere near picking...lol
  5. The Cowboys followed the Angelo plan.
  6. 3rd round and 4th round.
  7. Ok Bears...pick or trade?
  8. I just love the Raiders.
  9. I'm still foolishly hoping for the Bears to trade for Boldin before their 2nd round pick. :)
  10. This time last year he was hitting .352 and OPSing over 1.000. If your argument is that he's having a slump, right now, nobody is disagreeing with that. We're simply saying that he's had slumps of similar duration at several points last season.
  11. I didn't watch much of the game yesterday, but I saw Noah attempt and utterly fail a dunk in the 3rd quarter.
  12. I still do from the Cutler trade. Boldin might force me to seek medical attention.
  13. Oh, come on! If Angelo can somehow trade the #49 pick and a player to Arizona's liking for Boldin - you have GOT to do it! That makes your first round pick = Jay Cutler and your second round pick = Anquan Boldin and then you can relax until #99 in the third round! DO IT, JERRY! :clapping: holy [expletive]. yes please. Yeah, now a ton of teams are going to be "all over him" though. This is like hitting the progressive slots at the casino and thinking you can do it again on your next visit. I wish, but I doubt.
  14. Which is exactly what Bradley is getting at.
  15. You know, Bradley might have a point. 3 articles on the Cubs today in the Trib. Can anyone find any discussion of Zambrano's pitching, the Cubs anemic offense yesterday, Micah's defense, or Lou's postgame comments about the lineup? Nope...all 3 about Bradley, beginning to end. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-24-cubs-reds-chicago-apr24,0,2273347.story http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports_hardball/2009/04/cubs-bradley-says-hes-not-close-to-coming-back.html http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-090425rosenblogcubslink,0,4239397.storylink
  16. Moving Soriano down in the lineup is the most overhyped "problem" this team has. There's about a billionty other things that need fixing before that.
  17. Agreed. I'm for banning the practice entirely.
  18. 2 weeks people. 2 weeks. If it was just a 2 week thing with Lee, he wouldn't be catching NEARLY the flack that he is right now. But Lee's been in decline for a while now, and we've all seen it. We're just reaching the point where we don't think it's going to turn around. But Soto's been struggling for two weeks. He struggled for 2 weeks in the middle of the season last season (didn't he have a 4 or 5 k game?) but managed to get out of the funk. And he's a catcher, so you can let his offensive woes slide a bit more, especially if the other guys that are supposed to be hitting are doing so. (Which they aren't.)
  19. I know it's the 2nd week of the season...but why does this team feel like a total mess?
  20. I don't know, but STL has two of those lines...and I would like that.
  21. Since 2005 Polanco has had 4 seasons with a better OPS+ than Miles' best - significantly better in 3 of those seasons. I believe he's also a decent amount better defensively (purely on reputation, though). Polanco would be a better option, but I expect he'd cost too much. Especially when you factor in the money you'd have to eat to ditch Miles, which presumeably is what's being proposed here.
  22. If you wear white, we'll see you on tv. :)
