    He was actually doing pretty well, then he got into a horrible slump, something like 2-22. He got sick, they took him out for 2 or 3 games, and he came back last night and went 2 for 4.

    Hill has had a whole 1 start in the major leagues. Maybe you should give him more time before you decide how many innings he is good for. Most 1, 2 and 3 starters average between 6 and 7 IP/GS, I'd imagine most back of the rotation guys actually do average between 5 and 6 IP/GS.

    Making the team better IMO is something that can last for more than one year. Burnitz has this year and maybe next year to excell and IMO he's a Gietti (sp) waiting to happen. I think if the Cubs get a solid offer (very good 22-25 year old player) or in a package for a Manny Ramirez type hitter it would make them a better team now AND in the future. I can't imagine Theo Epstein doing a deal to get rid of ManRam and replacing him with Burnitz unless the Cubs threw in other stuff to make the Red Sox better this year, including Walker, possibly Williams, and Dempster. The Sox want to win now, and going from Ramirez to Burnitz is not the way to do that. I'm almost positive someone else suggested this, but what if the Reds get involved: Cubs get: Manny, David Weathers + $10M Sox get: Dunn and Mercker Reds get: Hanley Ramirez, Shoppach, Leicester, Hill and Mitre. I think that's reasonably fair I say that if the Cubs sent Gerut to Boston, and we got salary relief past this year, that would be a pretty good deal. Can we send Hollandsworth instead of Gerut? :D ??? Just last week you said Gerut wasn't any better than Hollandsworth. Do you ever offer up anything of your own, or do you show up to contradict other people? It's cute and all, I was just wondering.

    Brandon, thanks for spending some time with us. Fun fact, for the past 3 years, I always thought that you were asian for some reason. It wasn't until I played with the Jaxx on MVP Baseball this year that I realized that you might not actually be asian. Do you ever play XBox? And if you do, do you create yourself (like I do) and make your ratings like all 99's?

    Adam, you currently lead the major leagues in on base percentage. Are you optimistic that once you return to the majors, you can keep your OBP in the .900 to 1.000 area?

    Is anyone in St. Louis afraid of how old the team is getting? Edmonds-Still awesome, but it looks like he's tired, and years of busting his ass in centerfield seem to be taking their toll. Walker-Old, always hurt. Sanders-Old, good numbers, but when the decline hits, it should hit hard. Rolen-Not old, but lots of nagging injuries, including the dreaded "back" injury. Even the pen is old. Reyes/King/Tavarez/Izzy. It just seems to me that a lot of guys are getting old, and theyre all getting old at the same time.
