    Awesome trade. Not the big move we were looking for, but if he can throw a .380 obp up for the rest of the season, it's a great trade. Im shocked the Pirates didn't get a minor leaguer out of this deal to go along with Gerut.

    no thanks. he's going to command far more than he's worth. 6 years, $72m is the contract I've heard thrown around. hahah f that.

    Is Milledge really better than Pie? He just reached AA, he has a marginally better walk rate, but far less power. I dont know about his defense, and im not sure about their exact ages. Milledge also gets caught stealing as much as Pie does. Milledge is probably my favorite non-Cubs prospect, btw. EDIT:Milledge is 2 months younger than Pie.

    He was actually doing pretty well, then he got into a horrible slump, something like 2-22. He got sick, they took him out for 2 or 3 games, and he came back last night and went 2 for 4.

    Hill has had a whole 1 start in the major leagues. Maybe you should give him more time before you decide how many innings he is good for. Most 1, 2 and 3 starters average between 6 and 7 IP/GS, I'd imagine most back of the rotation guys actually do average between 5 and 6 IP/GS.
