I have a hard time accepting the Rose nostalgia. I guess I just can't see past the situation with his accused rape and every time I think of him that comes to mind. From a pure basketball sense, it is nice to see though. not just the rape but just how freaking dumb he came across.

it is kinda funny to have this whole thing about how we're gonna accumulate young cheap talent so we can grab a generational talent in FA to stay on top for a decade and instead we spend it on yu darvish and jason heyward and watch the dodgers THE DODGERS sign bryce harper (who FYI is not good i have determined through analysis)

I'm curious how many will do this on this board. It would be a hell of a statement. I'd like to think I'm as disgusted as everyone else by this, the potential Sinclair news, etc. But I also think it's pretty easy to make statements like this in the middle of December. For better or for worse, I dealt with Chapman, I dealt with Murphy, I've dealt with Russell even knowing parts of how he was a scumbag. Wrigley is my favorite place in the world, I finally got bleacher season tickets after waiting 15 years last year...this all makes me pretty sad, but I know I'm not able to give it up. jesus christ i forgot about murphy

I never thought I would say this but this whole thing is so distasteful that I really dont want to watch the games while he's on the roster i know this is easy for me to say given that i already watched them win a world series with chapman on the mound and that it's not like everything will be 100 percent A-OK the second after they get rid of Russell but I just feel like I've had enough of this horsefeathers. the big 3 sports are in a real weird spot right now to be honest everyone knows now (and some decent percentage of us care) that seemingly every team owner sucks to some large degree. Like billionaires who want to do well spend their money in ways that aren't on sports teams. so the pool of billionaires willing to buy sports teams are all awful people. social media lets us know that most of our athletes are dick heads in a way that makes (some of) us actually have to mentally confront this fact playing football is basically homicide, and college football is even worse because kids are killing themselves for no reason the baseball season is interminably long not only is the nba season too long but there's 0 reason to watch a game until the 4th quarter.
