I highly doubt that. They may if they didn't think their man would be available till the winter for some reason. Then they could blame the Cubs current record on Dusty, the Cubs record at the end of the season on Larry, and get the man they REALLY want this winter.... But if their guy is available now, then Larry as interim would make little sense. I still doubt it. I could see Dick Pole as the interim manager---if he isn't fired with Baker...if/when that happens---but not Rothschild. Pole came here with Baker while Rothschild was here already.Speier or Rothschild would be the choices.Its possible Dusty would resign before getting fired.I don't see him getting fired though.
