  1. Why not lower the budget? Unload some players for prospects and rebuild. Freeing up money every year to sign a free agent or two is basically a band-aid" approach.
  2. They should make an offer for Zambrano...
  3. I don't know who's the most popular, but the best is Jonathan Toews.
  4. How can an entire team and coaching staff miss it?
  5. Kotsay was on deck last inning He bats lefty though
  6. with a bunt down the third base line...
  7. Thanks to Joe Morgan for explaining why hitters wear the shinguard
  8. I liked his explanation of how the Cubs have finally found someone (Byrd) to break up their 2 right-handed hitters in the middle of the lineup. I don't think he realized that Byrd is also a right-handed hitter. Or that he didn't hit between them too often
  9. He can be part of the annual Brian Roberts trade rumor
  10. Lous just deflecting attention away from the product on the field
  11. Besides Hill the Cubs have all left-handers on the bench so there weren't many choices on that front. If Colvin starts, you have better defense in right, and a right hander available to pinch hit besides Hill
  12. Colvin probably didn't start because of the lefty ,but Lou pinch hits him against the same lefty
  13. I blame Soto. If somebody ever teaches that rookie shortstop how to cover second base, this [expletive] won't happen again. Fundamentals again
  14. 10 hits in 4 1/3 don't help either...
  15. He's actually done this? Who/what was he whining about? ''It was a guy at the plate who takes a lot of pride in what he does and practices those situations, who put a bunt down on the right side of the field,'' Hill said. ''They had the perfect guy at first base, and they had one of the worst fundamental teams on the field. A perfect situation for the Brewers.'' The next day he fails to lay down a good bunt and he fails to catch the guy off of second.People in glass houses...
