    Why pitch him the 7th with a 6 run lead?I doubt he pitched 2 innings much last year.86 games 68 innings.Hes more of a lefty setup man than a middle reliever.

    Hollandsworth played well in 04.His problem was last year when he was asked to start.He may be the type of player who does well in spot duty but when hes out there everyday his weaknesses are exposed.

    Hendry also said sosa would be our starting right fielder last year. I believe if hendry wants pierre long term, he'll get him. Alot of people bash Hendry but i'm with you on Pierre.If he really wants Pierre long term,he'll get him.

    Thats because the stat counts every minor leaguer.The A's try to avoid keeping the guy who strikes out 120 times.20 homers and at least 120K's, the Cubs got a spot for you. I have no clue what this means. I'd like to see the study broken down more to top 20/50 prospects or at least remove organizational players, though I suspect that would make our #s look even worse. Look at last year with Patterson,Burnitz, and Lee.This year with Jones.The Cubs don't seem to worry about hitters striking out.It s seemed like that about as long as I can remember.Seems to be changing this year.They are going more for speed and less for power.

    Pierre may be a problem.Hendry was saying last week that the price of a leadoff hitter is changing.He refered to Rollins at 8 mil and Furcal.I can't see him paying Pierre 8 mil.,but someone might.

    Wuertz was a starter until 2004.When they moved him to the pen his velocity jumped.He pitched in 75 games last year.This may seem far-fetched,but is it possible that Johnnie B. overused him?

    If you trade Pie you need to lock up Pierre.Can Murton our Cabrera possibly be serviceable in right?Upgrading left is great but right still looks very average.

    why does his velocity fluxuate so much? it did that in SF and here. :? I thought he had an injury a few years ago.He was throwing 97 coming out of college.Then he went down to 92-94.
