Why is that? If I weren't a fan I'd still be rooting for the upset. I'm rooting for the Cavs just to see how many ways the talking heads can fall in love with LBJ if he makes it to the ECF.

That's certainly possible, and he could very well have flamed out because of it. In the Cubs defense, I can't think of any top end pitchers that were abused in one year and had it cost them their career in the last ten years, and nearly all top pitchers are abused at some point if not all the time. I would have thought that month off would have given him time to recover. Name me one 21, 22, 23 year old pitcher that was abused like Prior and didn't suffer any consequences. He said he feels about 60% right now. He messed up his back. Maybe if he quit hitting so many homeruns his back wouldn't hurt so much and Cub fans would think he's classier. Maybe if Cub pitchers would allow a few more home runs, Derrek Lee wouldn't be involved in collisions at first base that disable him for two months. :lol: Judges? No. Not funny at all.

Wood gets excused for poor performance because of nagging injuries. Why not Moises? I remember him saying he felt healthy in 2004 for the 1st time in a while, and the results showed that. I'm assuming he still feels healthy now, and he's still producing. Completely different situations in my mind. BTW - based on the amount of time he's missed the last couple years, I'd assume he's still suffering from nagging injuries. And didn't he credit his better health in 2004 to his improved offseason workout regimen? Are you mad at Maddux for just now improving his offseason workout regimen too? I'm a little bitter but if he can give us a great season this year I'll get over it. -

Gotta agree with ya. Wade is a good actor. It's official, I don't like anybody that plays on the Heat team now. It was a good run for the Bulls. Hopefully Pax will make the right moves and we can make it out of the 1st round. Yeah, it seemed like Wade really enjoyed his WIllis Reed move from game 1 (When he simply had cramps from trying to outrun HInrich all game), so he tried to recreate it again in games 5 &6. And could someone tell me more about this fingerpoint ndistops is talking about. I missed the end, and I'm in the mood to be angry with d wade. After he hit his last shot of the game to put Miami up by like 15 with 2 minutes to go, he turned around and pointed his index finger into the crowd. For all I know he was pointing at his family since he's from Chicago, but it looked like a cocky move to me. He did the same thing as the game was ending over on the bench. Skiles is a badass. Walker was telling him to stop his whining at the end of the first half because Skiles believed he should've been whistled, and then Skiles shot back "you've been whining the whole series". Funny, and true.

What Shaq does is football. A 7'1", 330 pound guy just shoving people around and dunking the ball. I hate his style of play. And Wade is full of crap. I didn't see a single piece of evidence that he was injured tonight other than his exaggerated limping for the cameras. He's just trying to create his own MJ flu game. I love his stupid finger point after the game was over. Way to go, jackass. You beat a 7 seed, which only 40 of the 44 2 seeds have done in the last 11 years. I'm completely bitter. An ECF of Heat-Pistons will be an abomination to watch. Cocky bastards against cocky bastards.

I predict that the Cubs will be leading the whole game until the Bulls game ends and I start fully paying attention to the Cubs game. The Cubs will immediately give up 5 runs in whatever inning they are playing in.

He's had two bad starts, that doesn't mean he's not ready for this level necessarily. It means that he has had two bad starts - nothing more. Now if it's a month from now and he hasn't had a good start yet, then we can talk.

I think it's much more disconncerting that Kerry hasn't had enough seasons where he's pitched enough innings to get the starts needed to get to the 15-win mark than the fact that he has not actually gotten 15 in a season.

It's kind of unfair to ask Aramis to put up Sammy's 2001 numbers. For a whole season, yes, but Aramis has shown that he can have a two-week hot streak or two over the course of a season, and it'd be nice if he had one now.

I called Angel Guzman giving up 715 some time ago.

The 2001 Sammy Sosa had a team like this and they won 88 games. If the current 2006 team continued on, they'd probably win 75 or less. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it'd be nice if Aramis could put the team on his back and carry us for a while.

It helps your OPS when pitchers are still too damn scared to throw you a strike because that's what they've been conditioned to think for five years, ignoring the fact that he is hitting .250 and can't run to save his life.
