  1. I don't know who Nate Salley is but he's a FS from O$U and Carolina selected him in the 4th round.
  2. I have no damn idea, I just know that Len says it every time he talks about it. :D FWIW, my editing was to fix a statistical error.
  3. <--- wonders how many reclamation projects have to go STL's way before they stop being surprised
  4. So Albert is going to hit more than 100 homeruns, and a pitching staff that finished second then first respectively in the past two seasons won't? We shall see., you are quite the diplomat, wolf. I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop on our pitching going on three years later. Believe me - you are far from the only one on this board waiting for that.
  5. He actually would have been perfect in the long relief role in a game like today's. It's too bad we don't have a crappy starter other than Rusch to make his bullpen services worthwhile
  6. If not for ND basketball this season, the Bulls would be the most lovable team I've ever followed. I've said it before, but you can probably count on one hand the number of games they've been behind by 15 or more in the 3rd and failed to come back and fight the game to the end this season.
  7. what does he play??? QB. He's kind of a big deal; people know him. I'm surprised he hasn't been selected yet. eh, I'm not. I thought he'd be a 2nd day selection and that's what he's going to wind up as. There are still some decent QB's out there as well for the 2nd day..Omar Jacobs comes to mind. Packers have 6 picks in the final 4 rounds tomorrow. Hopefully we can get Darnell Bing, that kicker from Memphis, and maybe take a QB tomorrow. I'd be very satisfied with our draft if we could do all of that. Ah, Jacobs. I was at a certain game where he did this: 27-43, 427 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT, 1 fumble Obviously, not a stout defense we field in Muncie, but the man scared me every single time he put the ball in the air. The sad part is most of the game it felt like we were keeping him IN CHECK! He'll be a really nice 2nd-day pick for someone. You'd think after Big Ben and Leftwich and Pennington, these teams would stop being so squeamish about MAC signal-callers.
  8. cubscott34 hasn't put up the thread yet, so with the 9 pm CT stipulation, I'll come in and make a spot start tonight. Big Z tries to FINALLY get his first win of the season tomorrow against yet another lefty (four games out of five!) and a guy that we usually kill (6.44 lifetime ERA against the Cubs) although he schooled us last April in a start at Wrigley Field. Erase the memory of yesterday from your minds, because it's a new day! The rubber match kicks off with the award-winning Lead-Off Man program at 1 pm with the one, the only, da Len!
  9. Still available.
  10. Big Mo Stovall goes to Tampa Bay. Good pick by Tampa, it's just a shame that I now have to hate him.
  11. James Anderson and Rashad Butler. Haven't heard of either. But I'm sure they're good.
  12. That's the funniest thing I've read all day. I feel for you guys, Bears definitely should have drafted offense. Picks 88-89 coming up, I think we'll take a WR and an OL or DL.
  13. Angelo is trying to see how many games he can win with a completely inept offense
  14. Ouch. Steal for the Cards. And they knew it, it took them about .6 seconds to pick him.
  15. Chris (in Nam I said) Gocong was the super-important guy Philly had to have.
  16. think so? Hawk was a no-brainer, but Hodge is hardly a savior.... he's a steal in the 3rd round IMO. Agreed. Picks 88 and 89 are Carolina's...
  17. In two years, they could be competing for a playoff spot. I picked them to go 7-9 in 04, then followed it up by predicting a 9-7 season last year. Ummm...
  18. Pope, Gabe Watson, Maurice Stovall, Ashton Youboty - four players I can't believe are left. And I love that Steve Smith "Go Deep" ad.
  19. I passed 5000 posts somewhere in this thread. I'm a loser. :P
  20. Oddly enough, neither have I and I'm a Ball State fan (he's from WMU).
  21. Maurice Drew to Jacksonville. They loves them some Bruins.
  22. FWIW he was listed as a WR on NFL.com, so perhaps that's the rationale behind the pick.
  23. I suppose it would be inappropriate for me to talk about how much I love our front office for making the safe smart pick and taking Richard Marshall.
  24. The Pack took Greg Jennings out of WMU earlier - he's a great player, tore up Ball State for over 200 yards and 3 scores in the five-OT classic this year. Solid pick for them.
  25. Carolina coming up again. I don't care who they take; after DeAngelo everything else is gravy. They'll probably pick a LB, but it'd be cool if they picked Stovall.
