    Am I the only one who likes Aramis enough to believe that he is still the 2nd best offensive 3rd baseman in the NL (Wright)? Granted he started slowly again, but I think by August he will be right back in the .950 OPS range.

    Yes, Marmol has displayed much better control than Cruz did. He also has very good stuff. He doesn't really remind me of Juan, though. I still believe than Juan Cruz has the best pure stuff in all of baseball....there's just something that doesn't click upstairs. . I do believe that Marmol has a very good chance of being an above average starting pitcher for a long time.

    Good god he has 26 stolen bases and an OPS over .800. Why, god, why?!?!? Okay here's my theory.... Dusty Baker is not very bright. Dusty Baker doesn't want to surround himself with intelligent coaches who will undermine him. Dusty Baker hires old school coaches who will defer to him. Young players are screwed. In '04 we heard how the responsibility ulimately lay with the players. We heard that again in '05. We're hearing it again this year. Funny how there has been a huge turnover in players since '04, and the offense is always underperforming. There is only one constant, and it is MANGEMENT. I sure hope Bruce or someone brings Corey's performance to their attention.

    Really. This is one of the worst lineups I have seen from Dusty during his tenure here. Shouldn't he be familiar with minute maid by now? This one just confirms that the man doesn't think about what he is doing. In order to have a chance with this team, we need to be given the best chance to win. It's not happening.

    Until yesterday, I had been rooting against the cubs for the short-term. After yesterday's win, I made the decision to begin rooting for a winning streak. This run through the NL Central will undoubtedly be the deciding point of the season. A bad run will solidify our fate and a big winning streak will put us back in it. A .500 or .550 run is the worst possible scenario, for obvious reasons. So....for now.....Go CUBS!

    Guys, come on. This was practically a victory. I mean, our guys tried hard....that's what they're getting paid to do, dude. The breaks didn't go our way. We score 1, they score 2. We score 11, they score 12. It's not our fault, dude. Neifi saved us, though.

    They have to do something! I mean they can't keep this up... You could have made the same case practically any day this month. 4 game sweep in San Diego, 3 game sweep at home, then an off day. Following the disgrace that was the White Sox series. Hey, dude. We had a big win in that White Sox series.

    The marlins haven't won 3 in a row all season!!!! We're gonna get swept!!!!!!

    Obviously a team with a $100 million payroll getting swept by a team with a $15 million dollar payroll is ridiculous, but I suppose we'll hear the excuse that $20 mil or so isn't playing. So it's okay.

    I'm really starting to enjoy watching this team again!!! I want them to suffer demoralizing losses in every game. I want to see Dusty pushed into a corner by reporters at every turn. I want to see him squirm as he runs out of excuses. I want Dusty Baker to go insane, as I have.

    Did you see O'Neal get soaked and not even flinch! That was the most entertaining thing I've seen from the cubs in weeks.
