  1. As of right now, he has 43% of the team HRs and has driven in 22% of their runs. By my count, he is responsible for driving in or scoring about 32% of their total runs, and I think that's what Len mentioned. You're correct, my mistake, the point is, nearly a third of their offense is tied up in Pujols, it's massive hole in the Cardinal lineup. Absolutely. Rolen will obviously pick up the "run producing" to an extent, but if Edmonds misses any more time, Scotty will have a hard time carrying the lineup by himself. What we need most is for their pitching to start folding.
  2. Would you like a new thread started for everything he does right? Then perhaps you wouldn't mind a new thread for each time he screws up.
  3. I'll take credit for the masterful performance while some of you are shouldering the blame for Preston Wilson's first big league hit. Z was on because I did not watch the game. You're welcome.

  5. We didn't trade for him, we signed him to a bad contract. What's sad is when people confuse a bad signing (which Jacque was) with hatred for Jacque himself. I don't think any of us "hate" him, but his contract is a much different story.
  6. It's a little-known fact that Todd Walker actually shaves every 3 innings.
  7. hey, leave the geese out of this! Yeah, leave them the flock out of it. Stop it...you're making me gaggle. I think you all need to stop. Seriously, one is worse than the next. [-X
  8. The equipment people hate stitching his name on the jersey?
  9. What's a Heat?
  10. What's an Oiler?
  11. It's most of Wisconsin from what I've seen. I am a proud drinker of Budweiser, and I have always gotten attitude when ordering one. A bartender in Madison once said to me, "I guess I could go in back and get one for you if that's what you really want." I told him to "grab a bunch, cuz I'm gettin ready to belly-up".
  12. I don't think Marrero was technically injured since the game was called. Judges?
  13. The Royals players will actually sit in the stands and help you fill out your scorecard. Tip them $5, and they'll let you bat for them.
  14. How so? Neither of them got the surgery he did. Wood did. He did? I thought he got a "less serious" version of the same procedure than Miller did. Ah well, shows why I never even made it to flunking out of medical school. I'm pretty sure this is true. Woody's surgery involved just a cleanup. He didn't have a tear. Miller did have a tear in his shoulder that had to be repaired. There are varying degrees to the "tear" (fraying is a slight tear), but the procedure, recovery, etc. are all the same.
  15. Leroy Jenkins is from a World of Warcraft video. A bunch of guys carefully planning a dungeon raid, going so far as to calculate odds of success, and finally one of the guys jumps up, and shouts "OK! Let's do this! LEEERRROYYYYY JENNNNKINSSS!"...runs into the room and ticks off a room full of dragon whelps, leading to a hilarious scene of guys trying to be in control, but just panicking and failing miserably. If you don't play the game, it still might be funny, but probably not in the same way. It was a pretty big thing for a while though...probably last summer if I remember right? [geek]Totally staged, though. the person who was recording it was fooling around at least as much, if I recall, and their plan was far too stupid to be real. Now "-50 dkp" guy is real[/geek] I don't think you can "[/geek]" after a post like that.

  17. http://progressiveboink.com/dugout/archive/dugout5-7-06.htm This one still gets me. Probably because of its realism.
  18. Aram has had some problems this year, but is showing signs of coming out of it. A lot of people forget that Aram is still young and if possible should be one of the cornerstones of a "young" team. Of course, if the Cubs could get Cabrera or Arod, then trading Aram might make some sense. I can't believe that Hendry would back up the truck totally and go into a rebuilding mode. I don't think the Tribune is ready for a 2-3 year rebuilding program while the White Sox are in contention for the World Series. I'll take it a step further and say that if the Cubs could acquire one or the other, they should do whatever it takes to keep Aramis too. Cabrera in LF or ARod at SS with Aramis at 3B looks pretty darn good to me.
  19. I would say yes. I think AAA is becoming watered down with AAAA talent and vets who refuse to let their careers go.
  20. Unless you plan on driving over 100 mph its more like an 1:20 to an hour and a half. Its about an hour and 20 to the exits (in Ia. City) for me and I drive 80-85. Plus, it's just a mall. It's really not that big, and there are no attractions other than the rink. If you want to go ice skating, I'm sure there are places in Des Moines. There also aren't any stores there that you wouldn't find somewhere in DM.
  21. Agreed. Also, even now a couple days later, I'm still finding new drunk posts by OMC that I haven't read yet. Drunk OMC >>>>>> Any dugout ever
