  1. MSNBC still saying 2 on board, 2 in building are dead.
  2. Definitely. I am listening to ESPN radio who is confirming it. I can't find it anywhere else though. MSNBC is now saying the Yankees will not comment, only saying any info will come from the FAA. The plane was in the process of being registered in his name. They just said law enforcement on the ground has confirmed Lidle was on board.

  4. He has just been confirmed dead. Wow!
  5. MSNBC is now reporting the plane was the one that Cory Lidle was trying to purchase.
  6. Is there an online application for the job? How do I get an interview?
  7. I will NEVER root for the Cardinals or the Mets. No self-respecting Cubs fan ever should.
  8. Yeah this couldn't possibly be why I'd want to see ND beat that overhyped conference. I actually think ND would match up better with SEC teams because ND's weakness is their defense and the SEC isn't known for having potent offenses. ND-Florida and ND-Auburn would be good games. I think Tennessee would pose a bigger threat to ND than any other SEC team. SEC teams that I think would beat ND: 1. Florida 2. Auburn 3. LSU 4. Tennessee 5. Arkansas 6. Georgia 7. Alabama
  9. I think all of the Hawkeyes are finally out of jail. Let's see -- Pierce: check. Henderson: check. Smith: check. Partially kidding, preparing for a long season.
  10. Loser can't even hit 50 homeruns. LOLOLOLOLOL OMG!!!!1!
  11. I agree. This situation is similar to the Sosa one. Baker waited to long to move him in the order and along with putting latroy hawkins as closer it doomed us in 04, among otherthings. But like A-Rod he couldn't handle the fans pressure on him. Under those circumstances you'd have to move him in the order, whether his name is Arod, Mantle or Ruth. Yes, Baker did wait too long to move Sosa. But, A-Rod is not where Sosa was. Would I drop Lee down to 6th or 7th in favor of Jacque Jones with the season on the line because Lee slumped for a few games? Not a chance. Would you move Lee down to 6th or 7th in favor of Giambi or Matsui or Sheffield? Big difference between Jacque and the other Yankee options.
  12. 1. Aramis would only have to be signed if he uses the clause to opt out of his current contract. Until he does so, he still belongs to the Cubs. 2. If he opts out, he becomes a free agent. There are rules governing whether or not you can trade a newly signed free agent so it's not "not cool", it would not be allowed by the league.
  13. You had me until the 8th spot. I keep forgetting he's still with the team.
  14. That reminds me of some lines from Naked Gun 2    I just watched that movie 2 days ago for the first time in 5+ years. Good stuff!
  15. If you want to bring back former Cubs to coach 1B, how could you look past Ryno?
  16. Ammended list, assuming Cabrera and Manny are truly available... 1. Cabrera 2. ARod 3. Cabrera 4. ARod 5. Manny
  17. Say what you want about their athletics, but they have one of the top hospitals in the world.
  18. I haven't heard any more about her specifically, but Derrek and Wyc Grousbeck have teamed up with the U of Iowa. Story
  19. My mouth has a beer game, I'm going to miss it. Mine too. Creepy. It's contagious.
  20. Managers have historically been responsible for bringing in most of the rest of the coaching staff.
  21. My 2007 Cubs outfield is Murton, Pie, Jones. My 2007 Cubs infield is Aramis, ARod, Soriano, Lee. Prior and Wood will both be healthy, Houston Wade Miller will return, Zambrano with throw 33 perfect games, and Giorgia Palmas will finally stop resisting her urges to have her way with me.
