  1. I just hope he's not on the Ryan Harvey track.
  2. I think long term Gordon has a shot to be better, especially if Cabrera doesn't learn to get and stay in shape. That'll catch up to him.
  3. Um, I'm pretty sure I did... forgot to change that one  Dammit!
  4. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT CRAP You Cardinals and your communist propaganda! That's not even a real newspaper.
  5. I'll give credit where it's due. KW has made some pretty damn good moves over the past couple of years. Wasn't Todd Richie dealt 5 years ago? It shouldn't be difficult to believe someone can improve in their job over that span.
  6. He's played a little bit
  7. 535 is my new least favorite number.
  8. All of our pitchers will win 30 games. That's right, all 12 of them.
  9. I've given Larry the benefit of doubt while serving under Dusty. Larry was one of the most well-respected and sought after pitching coaches in the game when the Cubs got him.
  10. I was perplexed until I finally got to this and saw the correct answer thrice.
  11. Incredible is an awfully strong word.
  12. I'll certainly take that at 7.5M in this market.
  13. Who's talking about Ward as "the big bat"? I doubt Hendry is done, it's only the beginning of December.
  14. what about completely unforgivable? Or unpossible?
  15. I'll take Huff if he gets back on the juice.
  16. And, of course, Wood followed that up the next day with a 114 pitch 1 hitter in 1:57.
  17. Found it -- 78 pitch CG 5/24/01 vs Cincinnati, game time 1:48.

  19. Remember that 13 pitch CG that only lasted about 7 minutes? That man wasted no time on the mound.
  20. sorry, but building a 90+ loss team with a $95 mil payroll means you're not a good gm, bad luck or not. and neifi perez is not a great guy to have on a team. unless your team is a junior college team. Well, I'll be more than happy to argue. I guarantee that if Prior, Wood, and DLee were healthy last season, this team would have been in contention and probably would have won at least 80-85 games. Hendry had little to do with that. He also had little to do with Juan Pierre & Jacque Jones swinging rubber bats during the first half. In addition, if used properly, Neifi Perez could have been a huge help to this team in late inning close games with his glove. As a starter, we all knew what to expect. And how about going into the season knowing Prior and Wood weren't ready and not having a backup plan? How about acquiring Pierre and Jones knowing their bats weren't all that solid in the first place? Neifi Perez is as overrated as they come defensively. He's solid but no savior, around average last I knew. There aren't enough late inning close games where Neifi's glove would have saved the team over anyone else's to give him a roster spot in the first place, let alone at 2.5 million.
