  1. I don't think he's right after the IL stint. He hasn't been able to locate since he came back and that was a strong suit before he went down.
  2. Sandberg was my first favorite. I got sucked into this madness in the 1984 season when I was 8. Kerry Wood is near the top of the list, I loved Grace and his no batting gloves, and I always had an odd affinity for guys like Borowski who got by on sweat and grit. Javy is hands down my favorite from the 2016 team and it's a shame he's struggling as badly as he is.
  3. *All Star Bryan LaHair to you. 🤣
  4. He had extra rest before his last start too and it didn't help.
  5. Just as a comparison, here are the 20 fastest 5K races of all time. I looked quickly, but I don't think there's a repeat on the list. Bottom line is she's the best who's ever done this and it's not close.
  6. We've also gotten more data on them as well, so that certainly has a lot to do with it.
  7. Canario is hurt and Mervis isn't a guy who anyone would be adding to help this year, so if he's going to get moved the offseason makes a lot more sense. In either case, you're not getting much in return beyond another Cuas type project or a real low level guy, which is probably more likely with the current 40 man crunch.
  8. I think Dansby's knee is still a problem and it wouldn't surprise me to see him have a scope a week or two after the season and see him come back his normal self next year. That alone solves a bunch of the lineup problems.
  9. That's the biggest reason I don't have an issue with this. He's a guy who's one appearance away from the trash heap because he's so reliant on the feel for that splitter and he's already 33. Hopefully they turn the arm into a guy who can contribute regularly.
  10. 51k in 31 IP this year.
  11. As has been stated, they literally gave up the best player in the whole deal and got a pitcher who has a good chance of being smoke and mirrors and not nearly as good next year and 50 year old crazy person Tommy Pham.
  12. I just told a buddy he's RH Little. The blurb I read says he's sitting 95 and touches 97.
  13. I’d bet they play 2 tomorrow based on what the radar projection is right now.
  14. It's been going on since before the assassination attempt.
  15. It's not. it's a reference to one of the players DJing in college. But it wouldn't have surprised me if it was that.
  16. He did fully stop and move back toward first and as he saw Seiya turn his shoulders to throw behind him he started going to second again. Bad play by Seiya regardless though.
  17. I'd bet a lot of that is the fact that Morel's K/BB numbers are improved over last year and Dansby has looked like he's never seen a baseball before frequently at the plate this year.
  18. Well that Wicks news blows. Was there any indication that would happen? I don't recall it being that dire when he went down.
  19. I think this is the biggest indicator of the end of the Morel at 3B experiment.
  20. Law doesn't seem impressed with the Cards draft outside of the first pick. He didn't even mention their 6th round pick. Overall he seems to like the upside of the Cubs picks because of the prominent tools most guys have flashed.
  21. Did we ever hear for sure where Shaw is landing after the break?
  22. Caleb Williams, LLC, Starting QB
