  1. I think the ACC schools are trailing in figuring out the NIL game (football and basketball). Once that happens, they'll be back in the mix. It may go this way for a couple years but I don't see it as a long term thing. I think the B1G is probably underrated at the top and will round into form by the end of the year.
  2. This is the kind of rational takes I keep coming back here for. 🤣 And yes, I know you're totally kidding.
  3. I'm not sure he has any access to do that based on the restrictions he's under. https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2024-10-16/tom-brady-fox-broadcast-restrictions-raiders-owner#:~:text=Brady can't criticize other,he can't watch practices.
  4. It's the same thing all the soccer players wear. Measures all the biometrics and keeps guys from getting overexerted.
  5. Nah, piss poor defensive effort was what killed them today. 47 points allowed in the second half. It's no coincidence they went on a run the last 6 minutes of the first half when they amped up the defense. They just never got back to that the rest of the game, especially after the tie at 57-57.
  6. Disagree. He's the perfect guy to bring in as DC under one of the offensive head coaches. He runs the defense already in place so you wouldn't need a bunch of personnel adjustments either. I hope he's not a serious HC candidate though.
  7. Is there a chance he's being signed as a reliever and they're going to significantly cut back his repertoire? His 4 seamer and sweeper numbers were excellent last year and those 2 along with the curveball were excellent in 2023. I don't see how this makes sense so maybe that's a path.
  8. He didn't do that but whatever man.
  9. Got it, you aren't good at reading comprehension.
  10. I'm a bit surprised by the deal Kittredge just got from the Orioles. $10 million seems like a lot even for how good he was last year.
  11. So, again, they've spent, they've just done so poorly.
  12. You should probably go reread his post because he very much made career/age appropriate comparisons for the guys he used.
  13. OT is such a crapshoot though, especially if you get to a 3rd OT. McElroy even laid out the case for letting him throw it. He just threw a ball he knows he can't get away with.
  14. That throw hit the RB in the knee. That would have been an incredible catch if he had made it. 100% the QB's fault.
  15. horsefeathers Dan Hurley and his whiney bitch ass. I really don't like that guy at all in spite of how impressive the last 2 runs to the national championship were.
  16. Not that I've seen and I looked a couple places because I was curious as well.
  17. Isn't Spags a Tom Coughlin guy? He was the Giants defensive coordinator when Eli won his 1st Super Bowl for sure.
  18. The window opens on the 15th and he has to decide by the 23rd. There's not really any negotiating because of the limits on international FA spending.
  19. I would hate it, but not as much as I'd hate a defensive hire.
  20. I don't think they tell any story really. There's teams from all over the standings there. I guess if you want a narrative it's that there's more than one way to skin a cat.
  21. There aren't 10 wins on that schedule unless there are significant personnel changes. That's a death march.
  22. I had a very similarly low opinion of the guy after that press conference, but you don't have success to the level they have the last 2 seasons without there being some substance to it underneath the meatball facade. He clearly has the respect and belief from the players and even if he isn't the tactician behind either side of the ball, he's obviously a good CEO. He's a more meatbally version of John Harbaugh, who was a special teams coach before becoming a head coach. There's a level of skill to picking the right people to work for you and Campbell has to get credit for that.
  23. I think him being a hometown kid has more to do with it than anything else. If he was from San Diego there's no way this happens.
  24. Yeah, winning that game with almost nothing from behind the arc is an impressive feat. The depth on this team is insane and DGL is a hell of a competitor.
  25. Bills vs Eagles. I just don't think Detroit can overcome all the defensive injuries against actual good teams.
