But the comment was made that you could probably go as far back as the 60s and not have anybody surpass Soto's total. I thought the initial comment also did not include pitchers, which the Cubs have done fairly well with. Davis was a rule 5 I think, he was from the Cardinals anyway. Just off the top of my head there is only a few position players from the Cubs system who have played more than 3 seasons with the Cubs since the 60s. Dunston, Grace, D Smith(kind of), Soto, Castro...I am sure I may be missing some, but can't think of any off the top of my head. Probably some obvious one recently
