  1. That’s a pretty cool town. Not that I could live there year round, but it’s fun.
  2. Lol, thanks for coming through for me Jimbo.
  3. Outside of Georgia, the SEC seems down too. Arkansas, Tennessee, and the winner of KY/Florida are about it.
  4. Meanwhile, in College Station… App State isn’t even beating aTm in a flukie way. They’re winning the line of scrimmage and controlling the ball.
  5. I can’t bring myself to cheer for Texas or BAMA.
  6. If not already answered, that was pushed to winter meetings or possibly ST for a vote. Unfortunately I think I've seen several snippets over the past couple years about players liking it, and I doubt the owners are going to step in to save us from that. I hate the runner on 2B so bad. It would be better even if they put the runner on 1B to start the inning, and not in freaking scoring position so Slappy McSlaps can bloop a hit leading off the 10th to win the game. Of even start the rule in the 12th inning, like hockey plays OT periods before a shootout.
  7. If not already answered, that was pushed to winter meetings or possibly ST for a vote.
  8. Unamazingly, Jets announced WIlson misses the first 4 weeks of the season. Shrewd move from the Jets. Joe Flacco against a team without a whole week to prepare for him is dangerous.
  9. I would take So Miss with that many points. The Golden Eagles blow, and I get the feeling that Cristobal will want to run up scores on bad teams, trying to show Miami is “back”.
  10. Vandy won at Hawaii by 53.
  11. I know nothing but some lines that stick out to me: Wake -13 at Vandy Vandy is much improved this year and their QB can put up points. aTM -19 vs App State That’s a lot of points vs a team that can score. Miami -24.5 vs So Miss Thinking that the Canes truck So Miss.
  12. I think I read somewhere that this is only the 3rd non conference road game in the Nick Saban era at AlabamaI mean, except for all those National Title games, yeah. (Kidding, I know what you meant.) A lot of teams this week get a opportunity to show something. Tennessee/Pitt Baylor/BYU KY/Florida (game of the week) Also, aTm should win, but I’m very interested to see how that App State game plays out.
  13. Pretty amazing after what that looked like initially.
  14. Bahahagsgagahahahaha
  15. Jordan Travis on the other hand looks out of this world good. Every time I look up he's evading an unblocked rusher and dropping a dime. Just delivered a perfect TD pass just as an unblocked guy was coming in for the most obvious targeting in the history of the rule. Glad my team doesn't have to deal with him this year. Agreed. I liked Norvell at Memphis and thought he’d do better at FSU. Maybe if he has a great QB he can run the style he wants. Same old LSU-sloppy, undisciplined, inept offense.
  16. Meanwhile, FSU has a QB. LSU losing in Kelly’s first game, in the Superdome, marking the first SEC team to lose this season would be incredible. Former Ragin’ Cajun HC Billy Napier winning his debut at Florida after getting passed over at LSU would be chef’s kiss.
  17. Anyone said what would happen to Soldier Field if they move? Maybe tear It back down to the original facade, or tear it all down?
  18. I thought the same way about Fields when he was at OSU. Obviously, he turned out ok.
  19. Damn, it has to suck to be a Husker fan right now.
  20. Raw, I can totally see all that, except what do you see in the Vikings? I’m seeing a lot of Philly love, but I don’t have that much faith in Hurts. He still hasn’t shown much throwing ability IMO. The AFC West is going to be ridiculous this season. Pete Carroll might be on his way out after the year with that schedule.
  21. Jamies and Dalton? Championship caliber? Again, Jameis was 5-2 with 14 TD and 3 INTs before he went down last year. That was while Callaway and Deonte Harris were his top two receivers, who are on the depth chart behind Thomas, Landry and Olave this year. They finished 9-8 last season while having to start an NFL record number of players due to injury, including 4 QBs and 4 kickers. Jameis only has to be sorta good with that defense, but I’d expect the offense to be middle of the pack at worst. As for Payton to Allen, the rest of the staff is completely carried over. I don’t expect there to be a big drop off there with that continuity. I’m all in.
  22. Here we go. NFC East: Cowboys Eagles (am not buying Hurts) Commanders Giants NFC North: Packers Lions Bears Vikings NFC South: Saints Bucs Panthers Falcons NFC West: Rams 49ers Cardinals Seahawks AFC East: Bills Dolphins Jets Patriots AFC North: Bengals Steelers Ravens Browns AFC South: Titans Colts Jags Texans AFC West: Chargers Raiders Chiefs Broncos Saints over Bucs Chargers over Bills Saints over Chargers A little homer, obviously, but this is the best Saints team since ‘18. If the O-line stays healthy they’re championship caliber. The Falcons,Seahawks and Giants are going to suuuuck.
  23. I’m thinking 7-8 wins for the Lions, with the Bears and Vikings worse. I do not think the Packers will be a top seed. Is someone doing a prediction thread? nope, go for it Word
