I have to admit, watching the students swarm the field at Tulane was the first time I’ve shed a tear watching sports since the 2016 Cubs. On to the effing Cotton Bowl (allegedly).

A lot of the fanbase is not happy with the hire. They don't like the calling hooker stuff. There was a report this morning that Auburn wrote into the contract that he cannot tweet or post on social media without approval from the university. I think they boxed him in pretty well and lowballed him on salary. But if he starts winning all that will go by the wayside. They love their faux Christian coaches down here. He's definitely slimy, but so is Pearl. In Alabama, every rule and law is a suggestion or meant for other people. It just occurred to me that Pearl and Freeze are now both at Auburn. What a slime ball university. Sort of like when Wade and Coach O were at LSU…last season.

I watched Arkansas play them the other day. They are every bit as terrible as that record would indicate, and lost to someone named Bellarmine, at home. On the flip side, that Creighton/Arkansas game in Maui was one of the most intense early season games I’ve seen in awhile. Both are legit this year.

To be fair to Dusty, ownership never approved the trade so it probably wouldn't have happened regardless of Dusty's opinion. I just loved that Dusty take. One of those takes where you know it's coming before you even see it. Gotta give playing time to guys like Jose Macias and Neifi Perez because they're clearly not gunning for their own numbers, dude. God I loathe that man. I feel like I'm one of a handful of people who were actively rooting against the Astros because of him.

Aaron Rodgers looks like complete ass. Brady has been dropping off steadily since he’s been in Tampa, but ARod has gotten bad quickly.

I was amazed at how people reacted around ND when Kelly left, so I'm routing for him to win in LSU. He's a red-ass kind of guy, but he fixed ND to probably the greatest extent possible following their comedy of errors in hiring coaches since Lou Holtz. It's kind of an experiment to see if Kelly is a good enough coach to win in a rich recruiting environment instead of ND. He’s certainly recruiting well, especially on the OL. It remains to be seen if he can break the cycle of mediocre LSU QB play , outside of Burrow, of course. If you had to live around LSU fans, you would not be rooting for LSU. The think everyone in the SEC is irrelevant outside of them and BAMA.

It seems like that’s the story of the league this year (and last). I do wonder if there’s anything to the narrative that less physical practices and less participation in the preseason is a part of this. I’m pro practice, anti-preseason as it is? This based off of vaguely remember alot of complaints about changing the practice rules way back when Both guys were crushing it too…The team’s very deep but AVT makes two first round OL picks out all year I hear you. The Saints basically had 4 starting CBs on the roster to start the season and were starting a guy off the practice squad last week, with literally no back ups at the position available in the second half. It’s a real problem league wide.
