  1. Man, this has been great this year.
  2. Yes they did, don't mind Kansas losing, they've got a real shot at the FF now. Eat my words didn't think they much of chance, good for them. Give me Musselman over anyone in the country for the Hog program.
  3. Please extrapolate.
  4. They can jettison Mayer to the Moon right now, if I were Underwood I'd bury him on the bench. Yeah, the absolute garbage 3s have been driving me nuts for a month. This is the dumbest Illinois team since the heyday of the John Groce era. FYI, Arkansas has been an awful second half team this year. They have blown several double digit halftime leads.
  5. If ever there was a boom or bust, it is Davenport. When he’s healthy, he’s All-Pro. An absolute beast. But he’s not been healthy since he’s been drafted. I have zero doubt someone will sign him and he’ll miraculously stay healthy and win DPOY.
  6. I know this is a Bears thread, but anyone else feel like the Bills are about to take a step back? They're kind of in a tough spot I think. They maxed out their roster to contend but keep coming up short. As long as they have Allen and Diggs and an adequate defense they'll be good I think but may take a small step back to retool and maybe be 10-7 good instead of 13-4 good. We'll see... Well, they keep having defections, Diggs just might be a problem and the division is only getting tougher. Plus, I wonder if Josh Allen has sorta been figured out.

  8. I have a feeling this year is going to be one of those wacky years with a double digit seed in the Final Four. No team has shown to be really dominantly good all season except maybe Houston, and they haven't had much competition (their good wins are Virginia, St. Mary's and Memphis). UCLA has been good all season, this might be their year. Unless they lose to Illinois in the Elite 8. The East bracket, though, is chock full of teams that are either mediocre for the season but hot right now (Duke, Memphis, Kentucky), suffered injuries lately or just poor play lately that make them not as good as their seed (Tennessee, K-State), or have just won a ton of close games all season and haven't looked good in efficiency metrics (Purdue, Marquette, MSU). It's got big "FAU vs Providence in the E8" vibes. I’ve watched a lot of Kentucky this year and wouldn’t expect much of a run from them.
  9. The pigs have loads of talent. They just can't put it together on the court. Trevon Brazille was easily their best player early in the season. Losing him to injury was a gut punch.
  10. Thanks bukie. A lot of what you said about Illinois could also be said about Arkansas. They can beat anyone when they’re hitting their shots, but they’re prone to long offensive droughts and for much of the season were the worst 3 pt shooting team in the SEC. This is more like a Nolan Richardson team than one of Mussleman’s teams. They want to defend and run to create offense, and are great at both. They have 3 guys who can run PG, but Anthony Black is the true 1 and at 6’7” can drive smaller guards to the rim. The whole team really shares the ball and are great passers. Council IV is more of a scorer than a shooter at the 3 but can put in 20+ on any night. The wild card is Nick Smith Jr. He’s a consensus lottery pick, but has only really been healthy and playing this season for the last 10 games or so. He’s been streaky trying to shake off the rust, but he’s getting more consistent late and has the ability to take over any game against any competition. The dude just is an elite scorer and might be ready to take off.
  11. They will not have to worry about Kansas, Arkansas wins comfortably. Something has got to change, I'd really like to see Underwood replace Mayer in the starting lineup with Epps, Mayer has been terrible lately. In fact, I'd go with a bench rotation of Harris, Goode, Rodgers and Mayer. How’s the guard play for Illinois? Arkansas’ guards are really long and can defend and are the strength of the team. If they get neutralized, the Hogs do not score.
  12. I don’t know, but TCU has looked really good. I think the AAC with Houston and Memphis could make a deep run.
  13. Yeah, Texas aTm got hosed.
  14. It’s on guys.
  15. Tide fans staying classy.
  16. Vote for Meph.
  17. Did I miss a discussion over YouTubeTV cutting MLB Network?
  18. Never forget.
  19. Given the situation, it was awful. If you make that call in the 2nd quarter of a Bears/Lions regular season game, it wouldn't be a huge deal, but deciding an extremely well played Super Bowl on a ticky-tack touch foul is inexcusable.I would have gotten pissed off if that were against my team in the 2nd quarter in week 6. In that situation it’s inexcusable.
  20. Ahem. Hi there. Not even close. That said, the NFL continues to have an officiating problem. With gambling becoming prevalent, this is only going to become a bigger issue.
  21. 100% yes. that'll be an interesting working relationship given Russells strained relationship with Pete Carroll. To be fair, Payton will be much more "throw first" which is reportedly what Russell likes, but I also think Russell doesnt like having a strong bossPayton is on record that Parcells is his mentor, and he still talks to him all the time. In retrospect, it’s part of why the Saints fell apart. Payton controlled everything, from meals to hotels to uniforms, flights, everything. He’s THAT guy. Strong disagree that Payton is “throw first”. Outside of the three middling 7-9 seasons several years ago, he is a run first, play action, strong defense guy. His best teams always had a two or three RB rotation. Brees just made it seem like he was pass happy.
  22. LOL. This is going to be interesting.
  23. Ooooh, I just looked at Jim Brown’s stats. And Walter Payton. Ooooh. How close is Marshall Faulk? Adrian Peterson? Ooooh…How high up is Peterson in the convo for best college + NFL player of all time? How is Barry Sanders not being mentioned?
