  1. I think they’re fairly even teams, with Boston maybe a bit better. Its tough to tell from last night though because of the extremes that happened for Boston. I tend to think the Horford/Smart/White drop off with be more of a negative than Tatum returning to normal levels will be a positive but we’ll see. The fact that Steph did Steph like things, Tatum shot miserably yet Boston won by double digits is pretty alarming for GS. The Celtics think they can pretty much bludgeon the Warriors the whole game and take their chances at the end.
  2. The Warriors and Steph have completely changed the NBA. This series is the 3 and D style on steroids. Boston really needs a 3 that can drive and create his own offense who can score when the shot clock goes under 10 seconds. They have no threat late in the clock so it always comes done to hero ball from Tatum.
  3. This is fun. Much better start than either conference final.
  4. Man, I’ve watched more NHL playoffs this year than ever. For some reason I latched onto the Rangers and they are fun to watch. MSG sounds amazing. That “Kid Line” for NY is showing out tonight.
  5. Never will run out of material for this thread.
  6. Ok, who is this? You surely post here.
  7. The Finals don’t start until Thursday? I take back what I said. Boston does have a good chance.
  8. Golden State isn't thrashing Boston if that's the finals matchup. Golden State is good, but they're not what they were a couple years ago and Boston is solid. I could see them thrashing Miami but part of that is due to Miami's health. I don’t think the Warriors are better than Boston, but it’s pretty clear that Tatum, Smart and Brown are hurting.
  9. He’s unreal. Embiid was right, he should have stayed in Philly and they would have a ring. “Tobias Harris?”
  10. Golden State is going to thrash whoever wins the East (the Celtics). There’s no way either of these teams have anything left for the Finals.
  11. They said the same thing about Sosa. Who said that? Not only that, he only hit HRs when they were down 5 runs. The similarities are everywhere.
  12. He only does this against bad teams. They said the same thing about Sosa.
  13. Joey Votto looks like he wants to jump in front of a bus. I actually feel bad for that guy.
  14. I’m not trying to say that Vegas has rigged these playoff games, but if they did, I feel like these wild series would be what that looked like.
  15. At Arkansas, you have Jerry Jones, the Walton (Wal-Mart) and the Tyson families as big time boosters to the school and to the athletic department. Everything on the campus has one of those names on it. Again, just because YOU don't know their names does not mean we do not have billionaires in our alumni/booster base. Five San Antonians make Forbes 400 list Quick Google search and I know for a fact that two of these five are Aggies. And I'm not trying to measure any dicks. Just laughing at those who don't think A&M has plenty of money at our disposal. I wasn’t trying to contradict you at all. I’m right there with you and OMC. Texas and aTm athletic departments can basically print all the money they want.
  16. Phill Knight (Nike) is probably worth more and has spent more on Oregon that all Texas AM boosters put together. T Boon Pickens at OK State as well. Do we have an individual booster with as much cash as Phil Knight or Boone Pickens (he actually started at A&M before transferring to Okie Lite)? Probably not. But you’re clearly ignorant on the ridiculous amount of oil money running through our alumni base. At Arkansas, you have Jerry Jones, the Walton (Wal-Mart) and the Tyson families as big time boosters to the school and to the athletic department. Everything on the campus has one of those names on it.
  17. That sounds reasonable, don't think there's any intent however, in a playoff series I could see their opponents really getting aggravated and tired of it. Another thing about Giannis why in the hell does he keep shooting 3's? If he was a Bull that would drive me nuts, his 3 attempts are basically a TO. Part of that is that you have to be willing to shoot it from the outside once in a while if you want people to go for ball fakes so that you can drive past them. If you never shoot from the outside, it makes defending you easier. But Giannis does shoot from outside, probably too much. Boston had to be relieved every time he put one up from 3. To the point of him hitting opponents in the face all the time, both explanations are correct, IMO. Giannis will naturally do that because of his freakish size, but this series was testy, and I have to think there was a lot of intent there. The Celtics seem to take pride in getting into people’s heads.
  18. maybe this is nothing, but it seems like it matters a lot in game 7. i can't imagine the bucks getting blown out like that at home in a game 7. Maybe they don’t get blown out but Boston was pretty clearly the better (mainly due to health) team in the series. Do they lose by 28 at home in Game 7? Probably not. But they could have lost by 13 like they did in Game 6. The Bucks might have lost that series with Middleton too but they probably would have been favored to win regardless of where Game 7 was played. Boston was the better team no matter where they were playing. The Bucks were lucky this series went 7 games. I think the Celtics over the Heat in 5.
  19. That WR room is pretty loaded. Mind you this team had the record for most starters last season due to injury, had four starting QBs and their starting WR core was all undrafted FA. With which Jameis somehow started 14TD/3INT before going down.
  20. Jarvis Landry to the Saints. Vegas over/under is 7.5 wins. Easy money. Going to Caesars tomorrow to bet the SB for NO.
  21. Can we trade Robertson to the Phillies now? They were up 7-1 on the Mets entering the 9th, now trailing 8-7.
  22. .425 OPS and 30% K rate for the last 14 games or so. Adjustments are needed and I’m sure he’ll pull out of the tailspin eventually. Didn’t Fukudome have a hot start then crash after a few weeks?
  23. This was after a couple of questionable non-strike calls and MadBum got upset. Look at the ump’s eyes in the second video, just begging MadBum to start something. This guy needs to lose his freaking job.
  24. Did you really think the Bulls were flopping? Maybe I'm a homer or blind to my team but I sure didn't see much of any flopping by the Bulls in that series. Giannis just flat out runs over defenders because he usually gets away with it. Flopping might not be accurate, just appeared to me they had the mindset of trying to get a call rather than punishing him right back. I didn't see the Bulls pound on him like the Celtics thus far have. I’m far from a Celtics fan, but they’ve been fun to watch. They play maybe the best defense in the league right now. Durant never really got going against them, and if they can keep Giannis playing like a mortal, they can win this series. That said, they seem to be Tatum and rest of the team is 3 and D. If they’re not hitting their outside shots, it’s another story.
  25. Nash Curry MJ Garnett Hakeem Try to stop me. The passing on that team would be unreal.
