    Final line for Hill. 5 2/3 IP, 3 hits, 0 ERs, 4 BBs, 8 Ks. 92 pitches, 52 strikes. Probably not exactly what the Cubs wanted to see, but probably good enough to get the start Friday over Leiber.

    Ronny will play tomorrow vs. Randy Wolf. Also, get Shawn Estes on Tuesday! So, he should be in the lineup then also, I would hope. Who do you think will sit for Cedeno? Not Theriot or Derosa. Fukudome? I'd imagine Fukudome would get 1 of the days off. Theriot or Derosa would get another. Lou has been pretty consistent in getting Cedeno in there vs. a LHP.

    Hill just walked his 4th man. 92 pitches, 52 strikes. He really hasn't shown that much better control.

    I'm pretty much at a loss regarding what happened to him. I once thought he was going to be a 10-15 HR type of guy. Looks like the crew is getting ready to get the tarp off. He was a 15 HR guy already. He hit 13 in 455 ABs in 06. He hit 8 in 235 last year. He clearly would have hit over 15 HRs in a full season before what has ever happened to him this year.

    The rain will also help the Cubs skip Leiber most likely. Zambrano tomorrow. Marquis on Tuesday. And then I'd guess it would be obvious to keep Lilly and Dempster on their regularly scheduled days Wed and Thurs, respectively. Then on Friday, you have the choice to go with Leiber or Rich Hill who would be on regular rest and would be able to be called up by then.

    Hill gives up a leadoff double, but Fuld throws the runner out trying to tag and go to 3rd. Hill then got another FB to end the inning. 5 IP, 3 hits, 0 ERs, 3 BB, 7 Ks. 79 pitches, 45 strikes. ICubs up 3-0 thanks to a Koyie Hill 2 run double.

    No it's not. Two starts ago he had a 5 inning, 6 hit, 6 walk outing. The start before that he walked 6 and only lasted 3 innings. He has 2 quality starts in 8 outings, and one of those was 3 ERs in 6 innings. Though admittedly, he missed another by 1 out in his last start.

    Jeff Samardzija started for Tennessee tonight.....and they are down 12-0. The WRs line was 2.2 IP, 6 Hits, 7 ERs, 4 BB, 2 Ks. Colvin is 0-3 with 3 Ks. Peoria down 2-1. Daytona lost 5-1 Iowa was postponed.

    I've heard Larussa's reasoning of hitting the P 8th, but have yet to hear Yost's.

    Is that what happened? Gameday just says Hall out at home. I assumed it was a wild pitch ala Fontenot. I doubted the awesomeness of Yost.
