  1. 8 at the end. Love this team's depth for the playoffs (if healthy). CJ Watson has been as good of a backup PG that a superstar could have. Deep up front now with Asik really showing he can play vs. some good teams in the last month and Kurt Thomas ready at the drop of a hat.
  2. Yeah that's what I meant. Georgetown isn't that good.
  3. 3rd round? Are we really counting the play-in games?
  4. Penn St? I only lost the Louisville game of those 3 and I picked Richmond to beat them in the 2nd anyway, so that helps me a lot, assuming Morehead doesn't pull another upset. Oh and I [expletive] hate Gonzaga. Everytime I pick them, they lose. When I don't they win. Gotta throw some upsets in there in order to have a shot at winning these things. I missed on Penn St., although I seem to recall they barely won. I nailed Gonzaga. Of course, I'm the fiance in DaBum's article when it comes to picks. I watched maybe 6 college basketball games this year outside of watching SD St. pretty religiously. Still felt I saw enough to claim Kansas the victor! Yeah, I picked a couple upsets. I think Richmond to the Sweet 16 is one. My other bracket I picked Princeton over UK (lost at the wire), picked VCU to beat UConn today (which also included assuming VCU won their play in), KState in the Final 4 (probably a huge mistake).

  6. Lost Michigan St who I picked for the Elite 8 for some reason. In my other bracket, I only had them Sweet 16 though, with BYU going.
  7. There's only 1 rawdawg.
  8. Giants had Lincecum and maybe Cain and they won it last year. Nobody really on the cusp. Who did the Padres have last year? Heath Bell, and nobody on the cusp. I don't think it's a requirement to have multiple guys in the top 100.
  9. 2008 players who were or had an argument to be in the top 100: Alfonso Soriano, Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez, Kerry Wood, Carlos Zambrano, and Rich Harden. Plus, guys like DeRosa, Theriot, Soto, Edmonds, Dempster, Fontenot, and Marmol had amazing seasons. 2011 players who may have an argument for top 100. Marmol, Soto, and Ramirez. Pena, Soriano, Zambrano Dempster and Wood have had good enough seasons in the last 3 years that if they can repeat them can get in the conversation, but it's a stretch that they will. Not people who had an argument, people who were in the top 100. In 2008 I'm guessing the only people who would have been in the top 100 were Lee, Ramirez and Z. Those other guys had amazing seasons, and that is why we won 97 games, but we did it without a lot of top end talent. That was the one thing, we were a fantastic team and had a great season but we didn't really have that hitter that pitchers were petrified to face. We had a lot great hitters, 6 of our 8 starters had an .823+ OPS, but only 1 was over .900. Pitching wise, again we had a lot of very good pitchers, but none of the starters were really ace quality. They all were good but had one flaw, whether it was Dempsters control, Zambrano's inconsistency, Harden's high pitch counts that limited his IPs, Lilly's 32 HR allowed, Marquis's lack of ability. Soriano was easily top 100. He had an .876 OPS that year, coming off of a 30-30 season, which followed a HUGE season in Washington. Wood was one of the top closers in baseball. He may not have been in the top 100 before the season because he had his injury issues, but he always had the talent. Same w/ Rich Harden who was very highly sought after on the trade market.
  10. Do it like college. Throw out the challenges. Review the plays that are worth reviewing. Review them from a remote location and pass the ruling down to the guys on the field. It's not that hard.
  11. So, increase the chances of a touchback....but punish the team more for getting a touchback? Makes sense.

  13. Congrats to my boy Jordan Crawford having the best game of his young career. Also, congrats to Keith Bogans for not being completely worthless for the first time this season.
  14. I was watching MLB Network and they were saying Wells was really bad in the 2nd half of the season. I took their word for it, because frankly I didn't pay any attention to the team after the break. But I looked up his stats, and he was actually very good after the break.
  15. I do have Brandon Phillips at 2B, who I could keep. It's is a dynasty league, I guess, and we keep 5 players per year (with some other rules thrown in). So, if I do the trade my keepers are: Cano Posey Bruce Longoria/Hanley Lester Votto-- addtnl keeper If I don't do the trade: Lester Longoria H Ramirez Phillips Price Votto-- addtnl keeper
  16. Let's try this again. Maybe I'll get a response this time. Rotisserie league 7 x 7 I trade: - Longoria or Hanley Ramirez - David Price I get: - Robinson Cano - Jay Bruce - Buster Posey Yay or nay?
  17. The way I see it is if you are going to be picking in the late 20s, that is pretty much a borderline 1st round talent you will be getting anyway. If you can trade that borderline first for a high-to-mid 2nd rounder and get another player in the top 110 on top of it, it's a move to make provided there's not a steal on the board in the 1st nor a huge dropoff in talent at positions your team needs.
  18. Ok, somebody trade me a draft pick between 70 and 80.
  19. I like the thought of trading down somewhat. The Bears have a lot of needs, but only 6 picks. So, if they can go from 3 to 4 picks in the top 100-110, the better off the team may be. Then again, they also need some legit 1st round talent on this team. But at 29, those guys are going to be borderline 1st rounders anyway. It's going to be tough to justify trading down if guys like Pouncey, Liuget, and/or Carimi are there. I think those 3 are all good fits for what the Bears do and can be Day 1 starters and stay there for years to come.
  20. If we are doing 2 teams, I'll take the Steelers.
  21. That may be the funniest thing I've ever read.
  22. Can someone text me when it's my pick? 724-328-4044
