  1. Can't say I agree on the goaltend. I don't think the ball had hit the glass yet. But another replay may prove me wrong on that. As for Buckner, that's NBATV's fault. He's the Pacers announcer and is announcing primarily on the Pacers normal channel. He's not the biggest homer in the world and is willing to say when the Pacers catch a break but is definitely somewhat a homer. Funny, Buckner usually goes out of his way to be anti-IU when he does college basketball. He's a jackwagon anyway.
  2. I still don't understand the 4 straight AFC West games after Week 11. That's 4 games in a row that will basically be meaningless in the NFC playoff race for the Bears for tiebreaker purposes.
  3. Wow, can't believe he's still on the board. Cardinals select Andy Dalton, QB TCU.
  4. I believe every DH has been swept so far this year. Rockies swept Mets. Braves swept the Mets. Nats swept Brewers.
  5. "Hey guys, let's throw this one! We'll have plenty of chances to win many more championships for the Cubs franchise!"
  6. I hate Byrd hitting 3rd. I'd rather see everyone in this lineup except for Barney there. Yes, even Colvin has been more patient that Byrd this year, and has more power. Pena's been much more patient, and I heard a rumor that he had power but who knows where that has been.
  7. He was, but now he misses the ball about 1/3 of the time. He's worth picking up just for the hell of it, but he's probably not going to amount to anything at this point. Only 26 is not "only 26" when he's had no major league success whatsoever. He's at the point now where he's as good as he's going to get, and that's not very good.
  8. I'd like to say 6-3 also. Gotta take at least 1 of the first 3. Then I think they can win 5 of the next 6. At Philly is the tough game, but you'd hope they could win on 14 days rest there. If I had a gun to my head, I'd say. W home vs. ATL. Lose @ NO, vs. GB. Beat Carolina, Minnesota, and Detroit at home. With 1 more loss coming to either Detroit on MNF, Tampa in London, or at Philly.
  9. I don't think they can go 0-3 and expect to make the playoffs. Plus, I don't imagine it's very common for an 0-3 team to go on a 6-game winning streak.
  10. Detroit is going to be tough on a rare Monday night at home, but get past that and the toughest games are a neutral site game vs. Tampa, Philly after coming off a bye week, and a near meaningless non-conference game vs. San Diego. The Detroit Monday night game is in Detroit. /picking nits I meant home for them. It's not rare for the Bears to be on Monday night at home.
  11. Good thing is the Bears typically don't start slow defensively. I trust they'll be flying around the ball early, provided everyone is healthy. And the Superbowl winner has typically had a little hangover early. Saints started off 3-2 last year, and eeked out wins vs. what turned out to be pretty bad SF and Minnesota teams. The Steelers the year before started 1-2.
  12. It's not that bad of a schedule. The first 3 games are going to be tough. An 0-3 start is a possibility, but win 2 of those games and the Bears are probably a playoff team. If GB is one of those wins, the Bears are probably hosting a playoff game, as they'd have a leg up on the division race and have the tiebreaker over 1 of the 2 teams most likely to win the AFC South. Detroit is going to be tough on a rare Monday night at home, but get past that and the toughest games are a neutral site game vs. Tampa, Philly after coming off a bye week, and a near meaningless non-conference game vs. San Diego.
  13. 1. Then it's not up to him 2. Why? 1. It's up to him what sport. 2. It's a joke.
  14. Safety is going to be a position that falls. The first safety off the board will be Rahim Moore (depending on if you think Aaron Williams is still a CB or not). And he probably won't go until the 50s at best. Deunta Williams is probably outside of the next group of safeties (Sash- Iowa, McDaniel- Clemson, Carter- Okla, Conte- Cal). I don't think he'll make it into the 3rd under almost any circumstance. He may even fall to the 5th, as he's been able to do nothing since breaking his leg a few months ago.
  15. Is it me or has Dick Stockton just made up ISH tonight? He said on different occassions that neither AJ Price or Mike Dunleavy played in game 1.
  16. Never started one of these before. Thru 2 weeks, only 3 undefeated teams. 2 of those teams play each other (D-Block and Bazingas). The points leader is 0-2. With exactly 1/2 the league within 60 points of the leader. Oh and I'm #1 in Power rankings.
  17. YAY! I only had 6 starts last week too.
  18. I have no idea. Got CB in the 1st. Should have gone OT and waiting on the CB. But Steelers select James Brewer, OT Indiana.
  19. Yeah, the OL group is ugly on the board. All would be reaches except for Boling and I personally am not a fan of his. Jack of all trades, master of none type OL. Carpenter's not really a reach either if you think he can play OT. I like Curtis Brown better than House (who I also like), but I also like Patrick a lot too. CB is probably the best value on the board right now. Carpenter or one of the CBs would be my recommendation.
  20. that's a tough one. wilson is as talented athletically as any player in the draft. he just plays when he wants to. Heard this, but don't agree. He was 3rd in the Big Ten in tackles. And I just read an article that said he had the most "impact" tackles by 9 over JJ Watt. Whatever that means. http://gridironfans.com/forums/latest-nfl-headlines/154333-illinois-lb-martez-wilson-led-big-ten.html
  21. Steal of the draft. Chargers select LB Martez Wilson, Illinois.
  22. Brett Jackson has gone to the plate 38 times so far this season. He's been on base 22 of those times.
  23. Ran out right after the game yesterday, so didn't get to comment. Why the hell is Carlos Boozer so bad at basketball? It's amazing the Bulls are as good as they are defensively, when he is the worst defensive PF in the NBA. Also, I don't think the Pacers are going to be demoralized. I think they will try to take the ball out of Rose's hands by trapping him and try their luck that way. It won't work, but to think the Bulls win the rest of the series by double digits is probably not smart.
  24. Yeah, that's the most likely reason. But still he's not THIS bad.
  25. I think facing all the lefties has hurt him a lot. That and hitting in the 8th hole predominately.
