  1. That leaves Harrison, Toeina, Melton and Tank Tyler (signed to a future's contract) as the only DTs on the roster. Tyler didn't play in 2010. Harrison was only active 5 games in 2010. Only leaves Urlacher and Briggs at LB, along with 2 future's guys I've never heard of.
  2. I had my questions about Love, but nobody in their right mind ever questioned his ability to rebound in the NBA.
  3. He threw the ball like Jesus though.
  4. Bring back Kreutz has to mean no Garza and Williams. That's the only way you are going to improve the OL. Webb isn't going anywhere. Maybe you upgrade the OT position he doesn't play, but that's not enough. If you have Kreutz and Webb back, you better have a FA OL brought in and a high draft pick starting. carimi is going to be a guy you plug in at LT and then just forget about that position for 10-15 years. Definitely at RT. Not so sure about LT.

  6. Not me. Before this past season there was almost unanimous outcry for Lovie to be fired. If it wasn't for the labor situation, he arguably would've been fired. 2 years is perfect. Let him prove this year wasn't a fluke. You are right that there was an outcry for him to be removed, as the results just weren't there. But, he has a much better coaching staff working under him and with this new direction, the results are there. I'm fine with the extension. Upper management just needs to have a good offseason getting him some players to protect and get open for his QB. The reason he had the bad coaching staff was 100% his fault though. He picked his boys to coach with him. He pushed out Rivera. That was the #1 reason I wanted him fired. Front office hasn't done it's job and looking back on it, it's amazing Lovie hasn't gone worse than 7-9 in the last 6 years.
  7. And Kreutz is likely coming back. MEH. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2011/02/bears-expected-to-pursue-kreutz-for-4th-contract.html
  8. I know damnit, still mad about it.
  9. Deng's a monster. Tonight. This year.
  10. Terrible call.
  11. Ok, give him the award now. Seriously, takes Lebron off the dribble then hits a J in Wade's face. How is he not the MVP?
  12. Not as fun when the starters come back and blow the lead.
  13. Definitely glad Gar didn't do something stupid, especially after Boston moved Perkins. Asik has 10 boards, 1 block and the Bulls are +21 with him in the game in 17+ minutes.
  14. Suck it DWade!
  15. Eddie House guarding Derrick Rose makes me smile.
  16. I don't expect a lot out of him next year but I'm pretty sure he will at least be better than Pritchard/Elston/Capobianco. Which isn't saying much of course. I think Pritchard is actually a decent piece to a team. He can play some defense, board, and set some screens. Elston has the worst basketball IQ I have ever seen. And Capobianco looks to have been given the wrong scholarship, because basketball is not his sport.
  17. Portland and OKC just got very interesting in the West. Unfortunately for them, they are a very likely 1st round pairing. Denver is 1/2 game ahead for 7th seed and is a new team. NO a game ahead for the 5th. OKC is pretty much cemented in the 4th spot.
  18. And someone has been hurt for about 50 games this season. And Kurt Thomas still got the starts. 24 seconds last night for Asik Impressive Again, this is not the last season that will ever be played (actually I guess that is a distinct possibility). Kurt Thomas will be gone next year. Asik should get those starts. Plus, not starting does not mean not valuable member of the team.
  19. Does that help Boston this year?
  20. And someone has been hurt for about 50 games this season.
  21. Asik's a 7-footer. You aren't getting a 7-footer as polished as Asik (and he's not even polished) when you are going to be picking after 25. Big men go early and often in the NBA draft. You can find another Taj anywhere. 6'9", good rebounder, occassional scorer.
  22. This isn't the only season. Asik has value beyond just the rest of this year. Thomas will be gone next year (I assume). I think Asik has enough upside to hang on to. As I said yesterday, I think you can find another Taj before you can find another Asik. I'd rather give up Gibson if you are giving up a big.
  23. Yes, he should be shot for not taking this team of 5-star recruits to the Final 4 by now. Who said anything about a final 4? He should be winning more than 1 out of 6 Big Ten games, protecting the home court better, and beating Iowa or Northwestern at least once in year 3, however. IU has much less talent than Northwestern has had the last 3 years. Iowa it's pretty close. 8-43 is about right for a coach that inherited 2 scholarship players that were both former walk-ons.
  24. Jared Dudley is pretty good. I probably like Courtney Lee better, but Dudley is much better than Parker. I think if anything, bringing in another wing player helps Deng, who is playing a career high in minutes per game. Dudley can take Bogans minutes and about 3-4 of Deng's minutes.
