  1. Where the [expletive] did my queue go? It's there, but I can't see the 50 players I put in there. Nor can I put more people in, well not that I know of because it's not showing anything, even stuff I do now.
  2. Of the teams still available in the top 10, I don't recall us having Redskins or Cardinals fans on the board. I'll take the Cardinals.
  3. I'm in. I'll take anyone. Preferably a team in the top 10.
  4. My bad dude. I'll send it out this weekend. This is the worst thing for me to have to do. My wife has the checkbook and I rarely write checks. I am almost never able to get to the post office and the one near my house just closed anyway. Get a damn Paypal account! :good:
  5. With the Cubs projected 25-man roster, if a Carlos is NOT the puncher, there's a 16.667% chance that a Carlos is being hit.
  6. Wasn't a big deal when the NFL went from 14 to 16 in the early 80s (I believe). I just don't see how the league can justify taking a stance on hard hits and concussions, then add 2 more chances for players to get hit hard and end up with concussions.
  7. Yeah, if I'm spending the money Gallery wants, I'm getting Davin Joseph or Carl Nicks. But I'd rather go cheaper and bring in a G, T, WR and possibly a S, LB, or DT. With the CBA, there should be a lot of young talent in free agency.
  8. Because it's unnecessary. Further risks the health of teams' best players. Diminishes the overall talent of the league as 18 games means more roster spots on the gameday rosters and the practice squads (due to teams being more hesitant to IR a player with more weeks to get them back). I understand the arguments against it, but do any of them stack up against that there will be 2 more weeks of football? I guess if somebody cared a ton about the playoffs and much less about the regular season than an 18 game season would be a bad idea. For me, having 2 more Sundays worth of football is wonderful. And I don't think the talent level will drop that much. There will be more players injured but there will be more time for star players to come back from injuries as well without getting IR'd (especially if there are more roster spots). I understand 2 more weeks of footbal is great, but technically there's not because they are taking away 2 preseason games too. Not that preseason football is any good. Plus, I think you have more of a chance for more meaningless games. If a team like the Colts, Pats, or Saints goes 14-0 to start the year again, they'll have 4-6 meaningless games instead of 2-3. Same is true for bad teams. I just don't think it's necessary to have 2 more games and I love football.

  10. I hate the 18 game idea. Most fans do too based on polls. Don't know why that would be in the CBA.
  11. Yeah, heard about that. I'm not a doctor and will never be mistaken for one, but I can only imagine that he had some sort of heart condition that went undetected and the adrenaline rush basically caused a heart attack.
  12. That doesn't really make sense. He was originally paid that money because he was the #2 pick and a LT. Now he's neither. Holding out for that type of money will leave him unemployed. He'll get paid for what he is: a pretty good guard. He may get a slight bump due to his name, but nothing too terrible. Yes, but now he is a pro bowl caliber guard and pro bowl caliber OGs get paid a lot of money also. Actually, see Banedon's post to see what he's asking for. Not that he's going to get that, but I bet he gets at least 5.5-6mil/year.
  13. Probably. Will Zombo replace him, or am I completely missing someone? Bishop? Didn't he play there most of the year anyway? And play well enough to make Barnett expendable? I WAS missing someone. Like I said earlier in the season: So many guys stepped up and did well replacing injured starters that Thompson and McCarthy are going to have some very difficult decisions to make. Not trying to start anything, but that's how teams catch up to the SB champs. Depth! Packers could easily lose all of Lee, Jenkins, Peprah, Bigby, Jolly, Colledge, Spitz, Jones, Barnett, Jackson this year. They are going to lose Driver, Clifton, Grant, and possibly Woodson in the next couple years. Not to mention all the players that will get hurt and not come back as strong. And players that will either not have repeat years or fail to live up to their contracts and be cap casualties. Granted that's not a lot of household names and the core is very strong....but losing depth hurts. The Packers draft well, but no team can fill all the holes that a couple offseasons can create (other than the Patriots).
  14. Gallery is going to get paid a lot mainly because he's already been paid a lot as the #2 pick of the draft. Guys who are only 30 don't typically have to take drastic pay cuts if they can still perform at a half decent level. If not, though, he is worth a look, but I worry about his pricetag.

  16. No clear #1 will do that to a draft. I think Von Miller to Arizona at 5 is the safest bet in the draft.
  17. He has the Titans taking Patrick Peterson at 8. No way he falls that far, but I cannot express how happy I'd be on draft day if the Titans got Peterson. Yeah, I've seen a couple mocks with Peterson going #1 now. I have actually convinced myself that I want the Cowboys to trade up to get Peterson, but I would be hard pressed spending a #1 overall pick on a CB. I don't know why considering some of the most valuable defensive players in the league are CB's too. I'd rather get Amukamara at 9 than trade up to get Peterson if I'm the Cowboys. Peterson's clearly the better player, but not so much better that it's worth giving up picks/players for. Of course, not 100% sure Prince will be there at 9.
  18. Best case scenario: Silva gets suspended then traded. Ramirez goes on to hit .300, 30 HRs, 100 RBIs and plays strong defense. Worst case scenario: probably whatever will happen in the next 7 months.
  19. Done. 5 years.
  20. In a perfect world, it should be Leon Durham, Alex Gonzalez, and Jim Hendry. In a perfect world, those 3 wouldn't exist.
  21. It's going to be changed and he will likely be unrestricted.
  22. 1 for 3. I don't want Rogers or Solder.
  23. Maddux is old and fat as hell.
  24. St Johns is #15 this week. LOL. They have the most F'd up resume in college basketball history. Losses to St. Marys College, Fordham, and St. Bonaventure. Taken to OT at home vs. Ball St. Lost 3 straight conference games at one point and 5 of 6. Of course that was in a stretch of 7 of 8 games vs. ranked teams. But they have 6 wins vs. the top 15.
  25. I think Arizona takes Miller at 5.
