  1. Eh. Rather let Hendricks bunt and keep him in. But deep bullpen and bench, can't fault this move.
  2. Well damn. My only complaint is "or" not "and"
  3. RIZZO is seeing 1.00 P/PA through 2 at bats Go (to hell) RIZZO !!
  4. When your first two batters fail to get on base, you limit your opportunity to score down to 1 possibility. Maybe the answer lies in the selection of the first two batters rather than the the third ?? Fowler is fine as the 1st batter. Coghlan is in the group that should be in the running to hit 2nd. But with Rizzo and Bryant 3rd, your chances of scoring in the 1st are greater because whoever hits 3rd is going to be on base (or score on a solo HR) and bring the other to bat at least 37% of the time.
  5. Yeah, I'm done with Coghlan in the 3 hole. At least 1 of the 2 best players on the team need to be assured of batting in the 1st inning in every single game. Fred showed the record when the Cub score in the 1st. Probably similar around the league. The best way to score in the 1st is to make sure Rizzo and/or Bryant bat in the 1st.
  6. That's why you don't hit the pitcher 8th. 6-0 if Lester is 9th the way he should be
  7. pinch hit for Lester and let him pitch again Sunday.
  8. Ugh. I don't want walks. I want dongs. Javy hook a brutha up!
  9. Anything else significant about that date?
  10. I think the Bears actually get some pass rush going in this one. But unless Rodgers dies from another Shea McClellin hit, they'll put up at least 5 TDs. I don't like the CBs against Cobb. I think they attack McClellin and the safeties in coverage the way Cincinnati did last week. And there's no way the Bears OL can even slow down Peppers, Matthews, and Daniels.
  11. Sweep this damn series! Lester vs. this scrub today. Arrieta tomorrow. Then the H's have to get it together. But no reason the Cubs shouldn't have a very good chance at the sweep on Sunday.
  12. I don't think you can afford to have Schwarber catching a playoff game (at least from the Cubs perspective), so Ross is going to be on the playoff roster.
  13. Jeffrey Baez up with him too.
  14. Bad quick hook on Haren, though he probably wouldn't have gotten out Bruce or Votto either. But an even worse double switch. Only switched one spot and put in an inferior fielder and hitter.
  15. I know Washington is trying to cut him to get out of his 5th year salary, so I don't think the money is an issue. If he's cut, I don't think you have to take on his 2015 salary. It's probably not worth it from a PR standpoint. Not that RG3 is a bad person, he just has a bad rep with the media.....kinda like the QB the Bears already have.
  16. I'd rather see Szczur. Didn't he double off him earlier this year?
  17. They were decent last year, but just lost the best player in the school's history and most productive TE in all of D1. They'll be terrible this year.
