  1. Schwarber now has more career multi HR games (3) than Buster Posey (2).
  2. He should pitch Wednesday next week anyway. Tuesday is Lester's schedule start, with an extra day's rest. Then have Wood/Wada start the 2nd game of the DH. Right now he would be going: Today Wed. 16th (extra day) Mon. 21st Sun. 27th (extra day) Fri. 2nd Wildcard game would be on regular rest on Wednesday, Oct. 7th.
  3. Isn't Wada on the roster? Or am I imagining that?
  4. Such a fresh and original narrative that we've never heard before.
  5. My biggest gripe with Maddon. You don't bat a guy 3rd who is going to come out the game anytime a LH reliever comes in.
  6. Fowler, Bryant, Jackson, Rizzo. I like our chances
  7. Let Lester go 120+ if that's what it takes to get through 8, imo Yep. Extra day off before his next start. If he gets thru 7 easy, he's starting the 8th if I'm the manager.
  8. I want 60 pitches before this inning is over.
  9. He could not throw it by Hammel whatsoever. LOL.
  10. 32 of 53 players are new, including 9 guys in the starting lineup who started more than 2 games last year....and one of those is McClellin who's playing a new position. The other is Fuller, who wasn't a starter this time last year.
  11. The Cards lineup is pretty terrible. Quality start from Hammel and this should be another W.
  12. I still thought long and hard about giving it to Gleyber. He had an .800 OPS until August as a young 18-year old (not 19 til December) in low A. Clearly wore down at the end, but he already established himself as the clear #1 prospect in the system for me. But yeah, Contreras went from a guy that profiled as a possible backup C, to one of the top 5 prospects in the system. As for pitcher, I guess it's Williams. Brad Markey has an argument. But that's about it.
  13. Hackenberg is college Jay Cutler. I still like him, but feel bad for him. He needs to be protected in order to remotely succeed. Cook is Matt Ryan. Decent QB. Will have a decent NFL career, but he's needs a surrounding cast. Not a guy like Luck, Brees, Brady, Manning who can make anyone look good. Goff is scary. He could be awesome based on his college stats and measurables. But he's in the most gimmicky of gimmick offenses. Cardale, I freaking love. I don't care if it's rational or not. He would be fun to watch for 16 games in a Bears uniform. You probably have to take Jones or Cook if either is there when the Bears draft, but this is shaping up to be a great draft. I like the top 2 OL too, the #1 CB (Hargreaves), and the ILBs (Jack, Smith) also.
  14. Russell most definitely raised a dong with that HR.
  15. September blowouts are so rewarding. Love seeing entire lineups switched out like it's spring
  16. Don't let that stop you. [expletive] em.
  17. Two of Castro, Baez, Jackson, or Coghlan will be sitting most games. And that's not even including Soler potentially or the GAWD, LaStella.
