I [expletive] HATED that pick when it happened, but he's so awesome. When talking about trades, people always say "only Derrick is untouchable", but I think it's time to add Noah to that list. I didn't like the pick either. Didn't see the offensive upside in his game. He's still not a dominant scorer on the interior. But maybe more importantly, he's a great passer and rebounder. A good enough shot blocker that has developed into a shot maker. And he stops dominant scorers from scoring. I added him to the untouchable list earlier this year. Getting a star player would be pointless if Noah isn't on the team with him and Rose.

He deserved it after losing game 7 to a team that played Marquis Teague at the point and Daequan Cook at the 2 in non-garbage time minutes He deserved it years ago. He was a bad coach when Sprewell choked his ass.

Man do I want the Pens to lose. People here are annoying during hockey season as they are during the football season. Foregone conclusion they would win the Cup with Crosby back and Iginla on the team. Part of me wants them in the Cup vs the Hawks for the trash talk if the Hawks win, but losing to a bad Islanders team in the first round would be just as glorious.

Second game in a row he did. With Deng out, he's the only player that can play the 3 spot.....and that he's the starting 2 guard, and without Hinrich the only way u can play without him is having one of the undersized Rip, Marco, or Cook at the 3......and 2 of those 3 were completely irrelevant other than a 3-4 minute stretch last night. Defensive disaster at the 3, 2 and 1 as none those 3 can adequately guard Johnson (though that didn't matter as he choked again), Wallace and also means Nate/Teague are on Williams in that lineup.

Don't see anyway Deng and Hinrich play game 1. Hopefully can get both back by game 2 and steal a game in Miami to at least have a shot.

This team plus Price and Ellsbury and 10mil spent wisely would be a playoff contender, I think. Especially if u add some players for Garza and possibly Soriano.

There's a gap the last 2 games. But even without Rose, but with Deng and Hinrich the Bulls are still the better and more talented team.

My only issue with the whole Rose thing is that if he's not going to play, stop leaving the damn door open. Say, "I'll be out there in October" or whatever. If they win this game and he doesn't play in the Heat series. And they somehow beat the Heat without him, is he going to come back then and make a team, that all of a sudden may be favorites in the conference, adjust to his return? I just don't understand why he can't just say he's not coming back this year. If he feels he can't play today, I don't know what he thinks is going to change on Monday...or next week....or in the NBA finals. I don't think him not playing makes him soft or a terrible person/teammate. I think allowing the will he/won't he continue is terrible from a PR standpoint. I don't know what he has to lose by just saying he's not coming back this year. Come back next year and play at an MVP level again, nobody cares. But he's putting the team in a terrible position this year, even if he allows a glimmer of hope in.

Is it possible the [expletive] weather is affecting him more than other guys? Can't think of anything else. Could be true. But would like to see him putting the ball in play. 3 more Ks tonight. Obviously too early to worry about much, but putting the ball in play is something that is always noticeable when it is extreme in either direction. -

Wonder what's going on with Gioskar Amaya. He was one of the unsung guys at Boise last year, but had a pretty promising season. This year he's struck out 27 times in 91 ABs and only had 3 walks for the season going into Thursday night. This after putting up .298/.381 line in SS ball. Power numbers are also down after 12 triples and 8 HRs last year. Only has 2 triples and 0 HRs in 1/3 of the ABs so far. Doesn't seem to be completely overmatched as he is hitting a low, but non disasterous .253. -
Would the opinion of Rose be any different if his brother kept his mouth shut? I think that's a huge factor. His brother basically said he wasn't going to play and people assumed Derrick would have the competitive spirit to come back.

I don't think Lu is talking about going to NYC to play. No chance he gets cleared to play. I think he's just hoping to be cleared to travel.
