  1. Battier fouled out without committing a single foul tonight.
  2. Man white people really have limited knowledge of flat top history. Cole's hair is nothing like Kid's, Play's or Will Smith's. Its so Rakim.
  3. They've had huge baskets aided by traveling.
  4. I hate that LeBron and Wade haven't been dominant yet. Its probably gonna happen in the 4th....just hope we can withstand it.
  5. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-0510-pompei-column-bears-chicago-20130510,0,7147631.column Surprised they'd put so much emphasis on the inside of the OL and still have Garza playing center though. Saints (where Kromer came from) always had replacement level centers but high level guards. Of course, a couple of their Cs have eventually developed into pro bowlers
  6. So Rubi Silva.....legit or nah?
  7. Pretty much this. Having players past 30 is okay, but I'd much rather then not be part of the core group. I don't care if someone 30+ is part of the core as long as you don't give up what is potentially core players to get him. FA signing, fine. Reclamation guy that develops into a core player. Or homegrown.
  8. Oh and I'm saving the assets for Stanton if I'm trading for a hitter. Or anyone NOT going to be 30+ when the cubs can reasonably contend.
  9. I'm not sure how much it matters that Baez isn't playing well in A ball. Everyone knew last year he needed some work on plate discipline. A month didn't change that.
  10. What if he takes them early or quits school?
  11. Starling Peralta in relief has been a disaster. 3.2 IP and 14 runs allowed.
  12. 10-6 on paper. Surprised with the Giants/Bengals being so high. And the Browns/Steelers being so low. And as I said when the schedule was announced, if the Bears can get off to a 6-3, 7-1 start like the last couple years, they'll be fighting for HFA with that late season schedule.
  13. It makes me wonder how much of this is based on reputation and perception instead of actual results. How much time/ energy do teams spend monitoring what other teams around the league are doing? That's what I mean with the comparison to pitching/hitting coaches in MLB. Every time one is hired we hire about how he is one of the best. Very good analogy that you used. Just like pitching coaches get that 1-2 really good season out of an otherwise mediocre arm, NFL scouts get a reputation for finding that one guy who got passed over several times, who eventually becomes a star. The Bears scouting has been decent in the sense of either finding players that can excel in their defensive scheme or finding guys who can convert to new positions and excel. And most of the success has been later in the draft.
  14. Andersen was pretty clearly fouling him there too. Andersen literally fouled every play he was on the floor.
  15. They'd have just gone after Allen and/or Chalmers. Miami didn't hit shots to make offense/defense subs, but if they could have I would have suspected they would have put him on Nate (Battier on Butler, Wade on Belinelli).
  16. Yeah, but Robinson put up 27-9 and made the biggest shots of the game. Belinelli hit some big shots. Noah was great inside and on the boards. Taj hit shots when Boozer was a non-factor. Epitome of a team effort. But yeah, Butler put up 21-14 and guarded LeBron or Wade on every single play of the game.
  17. I don't know if Hinrich and Deng will be able to bring the energy this team needs to win if they are coming back from injuries. Honestly, they don't need energy at this point, they just need bodies. The 3 guys that play the positions Deng and Hinrich can play, combined to play all but 12 minutes of the game. And a lot of that only happened because Nate had to get stitches. Can't continue to play these guys that many minutes and expect to win this series. And I'd imagine if Spoelstra is smart, he'd go hard to LeBron early to get Butler in foul trouble. If Butler is off the floor, the Heat can pretty much do what they want.
  18. I still don't expect them to win this series, but anything is possible. Hopefully by the time the guys start running on fumes, they get Deng and Hinrich back. And hopefully it's only 1 down game if it happens. The longer this series goes, the better for the Bulls.
  19. Told ya! Nasty Nate!
  20. Heat would be smart to go offense/defense late. Allen and Chalmers are pathetic defensively.
  21. Taj is hitting Boozer's shots. Great all around effort so far. Everyone that has played has played well (other than Cook's 12 seconds).
  22. Chalmers, Battier, Cole, Anderson, Bosh.....only LeBron and Allen are ok.
  23. Has never committed a foul in his career judging by his body language after every single whistle.
