  1. Not only that, he doesn't appear to have much drive in his legs to make tackles.
  2. Jay Cutler = Josey Wales Charles Tillman = Tommy Hearns
  3. Both Jennings and Briggs easily outran the Cowboys... and I thought the guy who shoved Briggs in the end zone could have easily got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
  4. Wow! Briggs turned on the afterburners there.
  5. Certainly preferable to Buffalo's "break but don't bend" defense.
  6. That's one way to stop them!
  7. Bears D is being picked apart.
  8. I'll see your Lebron James and raise you Jim Belushi!
  9. How much is Urlacher's presence worth? Because that's all there is at this point is his "presence".
  10. Because they're both black.
  11. Terrible decision, just another Smith boneheaded in-game decision. I can understand taking a 1st and 5 instead of 2nd and 1 I guess, but if you are choosing to lose 9 yards for an extra down, you are saying that you think your team is going to get 9+ yards on the next play. Considering no NFL teams average 9 yards a play, its the wrong decision 1st and 5, sure, but 1st and 10 is a whole different story.
  12. Terrible decision, just another Smith boneheaded in-game decision. I just don't get it. The guy has been an NFL coach for how long now? If he can't do simple math in his head, then he should have a coach on the sideline to advise him. His decision essentially bypassed 8 1/2 yards on a first down play... terrible.
  13. Why the hell did the Bears accept the illegal contact penalty? They gave up 8 1/2 yards of field position to take 1st and 10 instead of 2nd and 1 1/2... then they ended up 3rd and 1. Those are the types of Lovie Smith decisions that just leave me scratching my head sometimes.
  14. Small sample size, but Sappelt is making a push for the 4th OF spot next year.
  15. With Houston coming to town, that is a definite possibility. I hope Colorado can get 1 against Arizona.
  16. Correct. The magic number is 1. Colorado has a 1-0 lead, so I would prefer they beat the Dodgers and the Cubs avoid 100 losses... but that also helps the Cardinals, so I'm not sure. Nevermind that. Dodgers are up 4-1 now.
  17. Correct. The magic number is 1. Colorado has a 1-0 lead, so I would prefer they beat the Dodgers and the Cubs avoid 100 losses... but that also helps the Cardinals, so I'm not sure.
  18. I sure hope so. I don't think I can handle another season of draft pick rooting. The Pirates lost 105 games in 2010 and then were semi-competitive for parts of both 2011 and 2012 with fewer financial resources, so let's hope the Cubs can at least show some signs of life next year.
  19. I have never been the biggest Soriano fan, but I just don't see the need to trade him at this point. He is still a productive player and it is pretty clear that nobody is going to offer much value for him. The Cubs have plenty of money to spend and don't have any young LF prospects who are being blocked, so the value that Soriano can provide on the field is likely higher than what they could ever get in a trade. If he has another good season, maybe someone will sweeten the pot at the trade deadline, but if not the Cubs might as well pencil him in the lineup for at least 1 more year. As bad as this team is currently, I can't imagine how much worse they would be without Soriano's offensive production (and even his defense) in LF.
  20. Why would anyone give anything of significant value for Jackson at this point?
  21. This is getting truly sad... I wish the Rockies would win tonight so then I could root like hell for the Cubs to win the last 4 games and avoid 100 losses.
  22. The announcers certainly aren't impressed by Beckman either. "It's the way these guys are coached. You can see the difference between the two teams."
