  1. I don't agree with that "sufficient distance" explanation. In an extreme example, what if the defender shoves a receiver to the ground and then the ball is tipped from a "sufficient distance"? The receiver is still lying on the ground with no chance to catch the ball.
  2. Does it really matter if he tipped it? The defender was grabbing him the whole time.
  3. I love you Marshall!
  4. I just checked the box score. 2-hit by the Astros? Really? At least the #2 pick is locked up.
  5. You can't see the ball from the rear angle, but it is clear that the defender didn't rip at it until after the elbow was on the ground.
  6. Only 3 outs remaining to avoid 100 losses...
  7. Not only that, he doesn't appear to have much drive in his legs to make tackles.
  8. Jay Cutler = Josey Wales Charles Tillman = Tommy Hearns
  9. Both Jennings and Briggs easily outran the Cowboys... and I thought the guy who shoved Briggs in the end zone could have easily got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
  10. Wow! Briggs turned on the afterburners there.
  11. Certainly preferable to Buffalo's "break but don't bend" defense.
  12. That's one way to stop them!
  13. Bears D is being picked apart.
  14. I'll see your Lebron James and raise you Jim Belushi!
  15. How much is Urlacher's presence worth? Because that's all there is at this point is his "presence".
  16. Because they're both black.
  17. Terrible decision, just another Smith boneheaded in-game decision. I can understand taking a 1st and 5 instead of 2nd and 1 I guess, but if you are choosing to lose 9 yards for an extra down, you are saying that you think your team is going to get 9+ yards on the next play. Considering no NFL teams average 9 yards a play, its the wrong decision 1st and 5, sure, but 1st and 10 is a whole different story.
  18. Terrible decision, just another Smith boneheaded in-game decision. I just don't get it. The guy has been an NFL coach for how long now? If he can't do simple math in his head, then he should have a coach on the sideline to advise him. His decision essentially bypassed 8 1/2 yards on a first down play... terrible.
  19. Why the hell did the Bears accept the illegal contact penalty? They gave up 8 1/2 yards of field position to take 1st and 10 instead of 2nd and 1 1/2... then they ended up 3rd and 1. Those are the types of Lovie Smith decisions that just leave me scratching my head sometimes.
  20. Small sample size, but Sappelt is making a push for the 4th OF spot next year.
  21. With Houston coming to town, that is a definite possibility. I hope Colorado can get 1 against Arizona.
