  1. That may have been the most ridiculously unnecessary measurement I have ever seen.
  2. And then can himself. After the mess Guenther left him I think you have to give him sometime before you think about firing him. I know, but he really botched the two most important hires for any college athletic program. I'm pretty happy with Groce. His recruiting has been top notch thus far and he hasn't coached a game yet, how was that a botch? We will see and I hope I am wrong. I just felt like they put all their eggs in the Shaka Smart basket and then had to scramble to find a second-tier coach to take the job.

  5. I'm not surprised, but the Illinois defense looks like they aren't even trying against Ohio St.
  6. That kind of defeats the purpose of getting rid of Marmol's contract. The cost difference between Marmol and Haren would have been what 4-6M? Getting rid of Marmol's contract wasn't value in itself, because he can still be a somewhat worthwhile bullpen asset. The value was just freed capital to do other things with the money. If you can pay less for Haren then, it kind of evens out. I agree, but if you can pay less for Haren, that probably means there is something wrong with him.
  7. Interesting. Maybe Theo wanted them to throw in cash and when they didn't he called the bluff thinking he can sign him and keep Marmol? That kind of defeats the purpose of getting rid of Marmol's contract.
  8. We should at least find out soon whether his option has been picked up.

  10. If that was the case, I doubt we would hear it from Theo. I can't imagine him making public comments about a player's medical reports.
  11. But Bruce Levine confirmed the trade, so it must be so.
  12. There needs to be a penalty for "confirming" a deal that is not confirmed. What is the Twitter equivalent of tar and feathers?
  13. Just to clarify, he hasn't actually had 4 DUI's. He is being charged with 4 counts stemming from one occurrence. This is his 2nd DUI, but who knows how many other times he has either not been caught or been let off the hook. From a purely legal point of view two is much different than four. But in my opinion I don't see much of a difference. Like I said one is understandable, but if you don't learn your lesson on one I have no sympathy on subsequent offenses. Agreed.

  15. Idonije was held again.
  16. I don't like this. They are going to run out the clock.
  17. Did Lovie just waste a timeout?
  18. Well that's quite a swing right there.
  19. Good call keeping that one away from Hester.
  20. Time of Possession Carolina -30:13 Chicago - 13:08
  21. Cutler should take a cue from Carolina's special teams coordinator and keep the ball away from him.
  22. Three straight pass plays. Makes sense.
