  1. I assume he is done now at 94 pitches. What a great outing.
  2. Don't we all? That place freaks me out at night; too many areas of the city seem completely deserted. I've never been to Pittsburgh, but that's exactly how I felt about Cincinnati when I went for a couple of Cubs games in 08 and I was there on Friday and Saturday nights. Feels like a zombie apocalypse has happened and nobody told me. Yet somehow the bums were spared.
  3. Castillo is really driving the ball to the opposite field.
  4. My math has his OBP at 3000 That crazy metric system.
  5. Cut to awkward shot of Dan Roan standing in the broadcast booth.
  6. Neifi. You go back and look, and the defensive metrics really did like him and his WAR says he may not have been as bad as we thought. How about Lillibridge or Jose Macias? Dare.
  7. At least it didn't even take one whole game to find a new Cubs player who is universally hated.
  8. Tough decision here. Do you walk the pitcher to get to the pitcher?
  9. Maybe we should just be satisfied that they don't take away any of our runs.
  10. "Didn't hav'ta be" What exactly does that mean?
  11. It may be cold, but I wish I was in Pittsburgh right now. I love that stadium.
  12. I hate to hear people suggest that the NL will eventually have a DH. A part of the baseball fan in me will certainly die if that happens...
  13. Sure looked like it. I bet Lillibridge knew how many outs there were.
  14. Because it's not. 5 through 9 on the other hand...
  15. Something about it looks different to me, too. I could swear it wasn't that wide before. Yeah, it does look wider to me too. On a related note, there was no stance I loved imitating more as a kid than Jerome Walton's.
  16. I still can't believe Nate Schierholz is hitting 5th in a Major League lineup.
  17. Sporting News is reporting that Minnesota may pursue Shaka Smart. If he turned down Illinois, what would possibly make Smart want to go to a lesser program in Minnesota?
