    Hockey playoffs are such a crapshoot. Start the playoffs with all 30 teams and the worst team in the league could win the Stanley Cup.

    I just noticed all the empty seats when the camera panned for the Sweeney home run. What is going on? It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the Cubs are actually playing pretty good baseball. Why are people not going to these games?

    This game is making me sleepy. We have gone from playoff intensity back to what almost feels like a preseason game.

    Most likely yes, but you never know what will happen. Putting the NL DH talk aside, it is possible that somewhere down the road the Cubs might determine they want to go forward with Vogelbach instead of Rizzo. As with Castro's contract, Rizzo should be very tradeable if he performs anywhere near expectations. The Cubs Front Office is giving themselves enough flexibility that they will hopefully be able to choose the best of several options and then get something of value for the rest. Rizzo is most likely the long-term guy, but unlike Hendry's contracts, nothing is locked into place.

    That one justified the whining. Another example of a ref officiating to the score and not the play on the court. In a close game, they would have called the charge.
