  1. I have a bad feeling we're going to see a lot of this from the Dodgers. They were like the Bulls just coasting through the regular season, waiting to turn it on again in the playoffs.
  2. I don't like that starting Kittredge takes your biggest shutdown middle relief guy out of middle relief. It will be interesting to see how they piece things together.
  3. Is the 2:08 start time official for Thursday (if necessary)? Or could MLB decide to shift that back tomorrow night if one or both of the prime time series end in 2 games?
  4. Morejon, Miller, and Estrada threw 9, 13, and 10 pitches respectively, so I don't think they are too concerned with that. And they didn't use Suarez.
  5. Great start. Palencia is probably down for tomorrow, but otherwise should still be at full strength.
  6. Of course Nico puts the ball in play and gets the job done.
  7. I would be tempted to run Kittredge back out there for the 9th.
  8. This is what we all predicted this spring, right? Drew Pomeranz in critical late innings of playoff games.
  9. Let's say the Cubs get a base runner on ahead of Tucker. Do you pull him here for a right handed batter against Morejon?
  10. That's some clutch horsefeathers from Palencia. I was a bit worried about him being too hyped for the moment, but he was completely in control.
  11. If he does, he's definitely done for tomorrow... which is fine, just win the game today.
  12. I'm so much happier having switched to the radio broadcast.
  13. I don't love pulling Boyd here, but I get it. I'm just not sure the Cubs have the pen to pull this off.
  14. The Cubs have to play Tucker here and hope he breaks out, but their best cleanup hitter at the moment is sitting on the bench.
  15. Based on the radio attendance guesses, the Cubs can't even sell out Wrigley for playoff games? Granted it is a weekday game, but are there really a few thousand open seats?
  16. I've had enough. Switched over to Pat and Ron for audio. I can't listen to these TV guys.
  17. He short hopped it. You can't give the infielder an error for failing to pick it out of the dirt.
  18. That's huge stranding the runner at third. I feel much better being down only 1 run.
