Brady was saying Johnson needed to drop back to get behind the receiver who caught the TD pass, but it looked like even if he did that there was another receiver who would have been wide open.
Don't think that's gonna happen, but I do wonder how patient Ben Johnson is going to be with Caleb in the long term. How long does he wait before making a conclusion that Caleb isn't the guy?
This news seems unfortunate for the Cubs. Boyd had the highest inning total of his career in 2025 (including playoffs) and more than double any single season since 2019. He showed signs of wearing down at the end of the year and now will be throwing even earlier in 2026 for the World Baseball Classic. At best, this is not ideal.
I don't think this is Billy Donovan's fault, and everyone knows he isn't going anywhere after signing an extension prior to the season, but this is the type of stretch that would get most coaches fired.
